As the show’s progressing, I gave up hope that it’s going to match the mystery and wonder of the first season. But I guess the whole “trying to save the world” thing can get tiresome. The highlight for this episode is of course the end when Peter confronts his dad. Now onto the recap.
Spoilers
Hiro and Ando:
Last episode, we left off with Hiro killing Ando to show that he’s tough, in order to join the bad guys. Turns out, Hiro went back in time to tell Ando he’s going to pretend to kill him, with fake blood and a fake sword.
Now Daphne believes that Hiro killed Ando, and she is a bit sad that Hiro turned bad. Anyway, she tells Hiro he needs to go to Africa to look for the precog. While in Africa, Hiro sees painting of himself getting hit by the African precog and in turn, get hits at the moment. So he tries to time travel back to before he got hit, but gets hit again and decides that it’s useless. Hiro decides to just wait it out, and the precog tells him of the logo of the DNA and his search for the “villians.”
Daphne:
This makes me think, she’s replacing Elle (Kristen Bell) as the other cute blonde. I don’t mind.
After seeing Hiro turned “bad,” she goes to pay Matt Parkman a visit. She gets creeped out by Matt’s behavior, she then goes to see Mohinder. She hears noises in the back and checks it out and finds out Mohinder has been kidnapping and drugging people. She goes back to Matt and tells him not to join the group because she doesn’t want him harmed.
Later on, you see Daphne assembling the group of villians with Arthur Petrelli. Wait a minute, so what was the point of Mauri, Matt’s dad, to use Linderman’s image? It was a stupid plot device that serves no purpose other then to make us viewers go cross-eyed, like Claire below.
Claire:
Calire’s storyline is still going nowhere. The puppet master, Eric, is in love with Meredith, Claire’s real mom. Claire goes in to save her, but is controlled by Eric along with her foster mom. Eric then plays a game of Russian roulette with Claire, her mom, and Meredith. In the end, Claire outwits Eric and knocks him out and HRG is pretty impressed. Now HRG asks Meredith if she wants to be his partner.
Mohinder/Nathan/Tracy:
Now we have the good ol’ doctor Suresh. We now know that Arthur was already making heroes, while Mohinder screwed up his own formula. Now he tries to subdue Tracy and Nathan Petrelli, but Tracy escapes from bondage by freezing Mohinder’s arm. Mmm, bondage. And now we’re left with a Nathan/Tracy vs Mohinder cliffhanger. Whoopee!
Peter/Sylar/Arthur:
Aww, now it’s getting to be one big happy family. Sylar frees Peter from the prison cell, and then Peter kicks Sylar’s ass and puts him in the cell. Peter then confronts his long lost daddy. Oh how I love family reunions!
Arthur was in hibernation, but with the help of Adam the immortal, he takes his life and his power, which brings him out of his weak state. After Peter confronts his dad, he offers Peter a hug, but tricks him and takes his powers leaving Peter with none. That just boggles my mind, the ability to take someone’s power of taking other people’s powers. Wow, I just got cross-eyed.
Afterthought
My favorite scene was with Eric, the puppet master. He reminds me of Paul Giamatti and I love his power to control people. I’m pretty impressed with Arthur’s power. I just feel sorry for Nathan because his dad and his brothers many powers, while Nathan can just fly. Daphne is really warming up to me and I was really hoping she would get with Hiro. Oh well, until next week.

Just an ”okay” episode I suppose. I am just happy that Adam Monroe finally got killed off, he was a bland character. Hopefully, Peter Petrelli stays powerless for the remainder of the series, I didn’t buy his power-hungry act for a minute!
