How many times have you ever wanted things your way??Not that many?then stop reading!! For that 2% of you out there who have ever wanted things your way here and there, we have much to rejoice over. Out in japan this summer is Sega’s Phantasy Star Universe for the PSP.

This is a ongoing AAA franchise, that has been Segas very comparable JRPG answer to Final Fantasy, without all the homo erotic and medieval setting. Its sci-fi fantasy and currently not a turn-based rpg like its predecessors. It is currently an online action game you play with your friends.

What makes this game stand out? A great control and customization over a lot of things . From the shape of your facial structure, width, hight, breast size , to what theme and music your room/shop will have. It is hard to have a character that looks exactly like you, but its due to its stylized look, that way your not stuck with some shit looking character, that does look like you ,but still looks uncool. A lot like the ones seen in western wrestling games that have a character generator. So you do always have a pleasing looking character. So whats next?? Well, you create a character and select a class and team up with your friends, online or wifi and kick the shit out of countless of monsters, collect thousands of items, on many types of playing fields that cater to you sooner or later. The diversity in battle is great and very very extensive considering this is an action co’op game. After you have a couple runs with your pals , you can return to your room and trophy some of your new loot or feed and raise your PM(robot helper, you raise, that manages your inventory,at lv80,they can be brought on the battle field and help you fight) some of the items you get in your room have interactivity, which really really adds a lot of charm to this game. The action controls really are done straight forward and are the DEEPEST in the online world, for this type game in this era.

Next is a list of features that are known to be in this installment.

-Vast character customization

-Vast character animations for battle

-Vast character classes that cater to almost any players style

-Thousands of items and weapons

-Online and wifi capability’s

-Download your current PSU character from the ps2 or pc to the psp.

-3 planet system, each planet offering a large variety of maps that vary in aesthetic

-Offline story mode

-Best visuals for a game of its type

-Maybe some vehicles, like in the ps2 version

And once you’re done raping the shit out of a couple areas, you can save your progress. Theres been countless games where I have pumped hours and hours into them, and there is nothing like having earned levels and items saved.

Sadly the ps2 version has mixed reviews, and I credit Segas lack of care and support for its online content. Other then that, the game is a benchmark in online gaming but I will say that I am very very impressed on how they now polish good working features in the game and just make them better. I honestly hope this PSP titles gains support so that later installments can bring us even richer and more personal experience…I guess thats what I have been trying to say this whole time, the level of personalization in this game is exactly what I always wanted.
