GTA: Epic Episode Packs – The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony

The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony GTA: Epic Episode Packs – The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony

It was announced awhile ago that a new DLC called The Ballad of Gay Tony is coming out for the Xbox 360 late summer/early fall of 2009. This is the second of two “epic episode packs” and follows Luis Lopez, a character that you may remember in GTA IV that screwed up a deal and in turn got Niko Bellic running from the mob.

The first DLC, The Lost and Damned, was a cool DLC that really gave you your money’s worth. For a price of $20, it’d better be worth it. I’d have to say that this DLC blows all other DLCs away just because it’s not just a new map or weapon you’re getting, but new characters, new storyline, new songs, and more.

You play as Johnny Klebitz, who once teamed up with Niko Bellic. He’s in The Lost MC biker gang and thing’s starts to turn sour when Billy Grey comes back to the gang out of rehab. The problem with that is that Johnny was acting as the president, but now that Billy is back as president, Johnny sees him as a guy that would bring the gang down for his stupid plans.

The gameplay is almost exactly the same as GTA IV and the mechanics are pretty much kept unchanged. The only thing that really makes this game worth playing is the story and new missions. But as a downloadable content, it’s pretty good in keeping you in the GTA world without having to wait a year for the next game. I don’t want to spoil the story, but I’ll just say that the ending is pretty simple, which I felt was a little bit of a letdown.

If you’re a fan of GTA IV, be sure to check out this episode. If you haven’t downloaded this yet, you should definitely wait for the release of the double pack disc that comes with The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.
