I like mario because he’s a short, pudgy, Italian-American plumber who lives in the Mushroom Kingdom. He has to save a princess, and when he eats a mushroom he becomes taller. Yoshi! All his special sound effects are so unique. The N64 game where you can press a button to make him make that noise (L-on the top of the controller I believe) is the funnest thing. I used to race my brother all the time and he’d always be DK. We’d have these sound effect wars so the game sounded like a jungle the whole time we played. Ape versus dinosaur-thingy. It was epic.
