I hated the first movie but the sequel to Ghost Rider, Spirit Of Vengeance, looks pretty great. Written by David Goyer (Blade, Batman Begins), this feels more like the actual comic than the cheesy original movie.
Idk, maybe I’m crazy.. but Ghost Rider peeing fire doesn’t strike me as very.. comic book. In fact, it strikes me as INSANELY stupid and cheesy. Why can’t we start over with Ghost Rider and get it RIGHT? I mean, supposedly the Hulk movie was soooooooooo horrible, we had to have the Incredible Hulk right? So why is Ghost Rider not the same? Nicolas Cage looks ancient and I’m sorry, but I’m not impressed with the CGI. His head only looks like it’s partially on fire, sorta. I’m also not a fan of all the cars and what not he’s throwing with the chain whip, it just seems a tad.. over the top to me. Maybe it’s just me. I am after all one of the few kids that HATES the Tobey McGuire Spider-man movies, the horrendous “X-Men” movies that didn’t have any X-Men, just people with the names of X-Men, and the Billionaire in a suit with a crappy voice, Christopher Nolan Batman.
My advice would be to stop watching comic book movies. If you didn’t like the new X Men and recent Batman movies there’s no reason for you to continue.
