GameStop will be holding its annual gaming tradeshow on Wednesday August 28 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas. Tony Bartel, the president of GameStop, had this to say about the event: “Based on the great response we saw at our inaugural event last year, we knew we were on to something. This year at EXPO we expect to host more than 80 developers, publishers and vendors and thousands of visitors. We are also expanding our exhibition floor, giving our partners more space to share their great games and consumer electronics with our enthusiastic fan base.”
Expect to see exhibitors such as Capcom, Disney, Sega, Square Enix, Konami, EA, Ubisoft, and Nintendo, just to name a few. D3 will be hosting an Adventuretime costume contest as well as a Beyblade tournament. The Ultimate Warrior will be signing autographs at the WWE booth. You can also join a Plants vs Zombies flash mob as well as get autographs signed by surprise guest NBA players in the Take 2 Booth.
But the biggest draw of the day, of course, will be the gaming. With 250,000 square feet of convention space for a gaming expo, you can expect a lot of games and demos to be happening. Attendees will be able to play the PS4 and the Xbox One as well as demo games such as Battlefield 4, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney and Young Justice.
You can also check out the Otterbox booth and go head to head with Jordan “Proofy” Cannon, one of the best COD players in the world. It’s only one day but you can do a lot in a day. Who said that?
