At the Strikeforce press conference, Fedor Emelianenko talked about his loss to Fabricio Werdum. Fedor looked very sad and disapointed and said “maybe, I took myself for granted.”
“I wasn’t mechanical tonight. I thought I would react automatically (to submission holds) but it was obvious I didn’t”
Fedor also pointed out that he’ll train harder whenever his next fight will be. He wants a rematch with Werdum but he said it’s up to the victor to choose his next opponent.
“It’s God’s will if I win or lose, ” Fedor added.
Werdum said it was an unbelievable feeling that he beat his idol and wished everybody knew how he felt because it can’t be explained.
