The one aspect of the Expendables that set the film apart from your usual action fare was that the main characters were all a bit – shall we say – experienced? But maybe what the film needed was something that might draw in younger audiences. I can’t really think of a better way to accomplish this than to cast someone like Liam Hemsworth. The younger Hemsworth (brother to Thor star Chris Hemsworth) will be playing a sniper-type guy, so that’s cool, right? (Although I kinda think he’d make a great-looking nerd!) He’ll be joining such infamous last names as Stallone, Statham, Rourke, Couture, Willis and Lundgren, along with other recent additions Jean Claude Van-Damme and Chuck Norris. There has been a rumor floating around that Jet Li might not be in it and that Ip Man star Donnie Yen was seen getting shmoozed in LA by the producers and was offered a role to replace Li.
