It seems like EA is in a lot of trouble this year, there was the NBA game that was cancelled. Now, there venture into MMA territory has failed miserably. The game features the best fighters outside the UFC (besides Randy Couture) including Fedor Emelianenko, Nick Diaz and legendary Japanese MMA fighters such as Sakuraba and Hidehiko Yoshida. The game sold close to 77,000 copies the first week of release compared to 600,000 for UFC 2010. Ouch!
If this was compared to a fight, this would be Penn (UFC) vs Stevenson (EA MMA). In that fight, Stevenson was outclassed and outmatched from the opening round and got dominated. He had no chance at all. All Stevenson had going for him after the fight was his bloody face, it looked like a scene from a horror movie.
