Disney Park Blog has announced that Star Tours in Anaheim will be closing July 27th, for an overdue renovation. The ride is a classic, but slowly losing its magic. The lines are shorter, and the effects are a little out-dated. I remembered when I first experienced the ride in the early 90s, I was trembling when the dumb droid took us over the ledge, it was a great experience! As time went by, the ride was still fun, but just wasn’t the same anymore.
This time around, Disney is planning on renovating the ride into a 3D experience. On top of it being 3D, we also get to experience the Pod-racing sequence. Please no Jar-jar! Everything is 3D nowadays, but let’s hope that we don’t have to wear those cool-looking glasses to enjoy the ride.
D23 members will get the last ride on July 26th, they have to apply earlier so check the official website for details.

i remember the first time i went on that ride when i was really young. I swore we actually went in space! I used to get butterflies every time we were in line for it.
Even to this day, its a must ride for me when im in that park, i still really enjoyed the ride, but it has lost some of its magic.
Im excited to see it being renovated! Even though i will miss that old ride.
No Jar-Jar, and no random disney characters in the ride, PLEASE!!!!
