Last week, we interviewed Susan Hancock, the owner of maid cafe: Royal/T. In this second part of the interview, we talk to one of the lovely maids, Kat.
Nerdsociety(NS): How did you find this job?
Kat(K): I’m a cos-player and I read about a maid cafe opening up in America on the internet. I was so happy when I found out that Royal-T was near my apartment and I scheduled a job interview immediately!
NS: What’s your favorite part of the job?
K: I love meeting customers! Royal-T events and parties are so fun because you can meet people from all walks of life.

NS: What’s your favorite tea?
K: My favorite is the milk tea. It is delicious!
NS: On an average day, how many customers flirt with you?
K: Every day is different, but its always flattering when it happens.
NS: What’s your favorite type of customers?
K: My favorite type of customers are creative and nerdy people. I get along best with them and they always make me smile.
NS: Do you think the maids here can beat the maids in Japan?
K: No, I don’t think so! The maids in Japan are the original and the best.
NS: Do you watch anime? If so, which ones do you like?
K: I do! My favorite anime series are Rose of Versailles, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Wedding Peach, and Sailor Moon. I love magical girl series!
NS: You mentioned earlier that you cos-play, which events do you go to?
K: I am a cos-player and especially love Disney princess and magical girl series. I attend a lot of conventions in California, including Comic-Con, Anime Expo, Anime LA, and Fanime.
NS: Are you a nerd?
K: Yes, I am. I collect comic books, play video games, and love cosplay. I have always enjoyed hobbies that most people consider to be nerdy.
NS: I’m in love with you. Will you marry me? =)
K: You are too sweet! You are making me blush! =)

Wow….i need to go to this place! Your a lucky guy to get an interview with them. Im going to have to check that place out sometime…when my wife is gone…or something…ill probably never get to go, lol.
