This game comes out in October 29th in Japan while the rest of the world will have to wait until next year for this game. At least this ad will tide me over for a little bit. I think she actually looks better in the flesh than her video game counterpart. “Non-stop climax action” indeed!

Rockband’s latest installment, The Beatles, comes out today and the hype for this game is insane.  This is probably the most hyped game since Halo 3 came out.  Conan O’Brien was playing the game. We have here with us the guys behind the Red Hot Chili Peppers Halo parody song, Palette-Swap Ninja. They are considered the Weird Al of the gaming world, a two-man crew with Dan Amrich as the guitarist/vocals and Jude Kelley as the keyboardist. After having played both Prototype (Xbox 360, PS3) and Infamous (PS3), I have to comment on the similarities between the two. It’s as if the makers were copying each other during a test, and the results were these two games. They both are free-roaming comic-inspired action games where the main characters looks like your average guy, but they both are super powered and considered terrorists. Both involve mass destruction in the beginning that centers on the main characters and that in turn sets the motion for the characters to find out why they have powers and who’s behind the city-wide panic. …

When the Wii first came out, people were excited to see the new motion-control abilities available for a video game system.  The enthusiasm died down for some, because they realized that the Wii controller didn’t have 1:1 realistic interpretation of hand movements, and was later dubbed the waggle stick.  I don’t believe Nintendo ever claimed that the Wii had 1:1 perfect motion controls, I think it was just hoped, or assumed by some; when they found out the reality, they went into a nerd rage and have been storming the internet ever since.
