Sony NETFLIX PS3 Netflix is Now Available on the PS3

Netflix is now available to you on the PS3. Welcome to last year Sony, but it’s better late than never. Okay, it wasn’t Sony’s fault that Microsoft likes to spend millions on exclusives, thus leaving Sony in the dust. But now that Netflix has come to the PS3, it has become the ultimate entertainment system, with Blu-ray and streaming movies and shows over the internet. Well this really isn’t nothing new for you 360 owners, but now Netflix is able to reach into a wider audience.

A minor drawback for me is the use of a disc to watch Netflix on …

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Launch Party

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Launch Party

I decided to check out my local Gamestop’s midnight launch party for one of the biggest games of the year: Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.  The video below includes interviews from fans and find out which sold more, PS3 or 360.

Below are some pictures from the event.  Make sure to come back in a couple of days as we’ll be putting up the “faces” of Modern Warfare picture gallery (hint: night vision!).  Thanks to everyone that participated!

EA’s New MMA Game

EA’s New MMA Game

EA MMA EAs New MMA Game
A sweet armbar, but why is Fedor sleeping?

The first shot of EA’s new MMA game, is of Fedor Emelianenko (the #1 HW in the world) victimizing somebody’s arm. This shot looks pre-rendered, the final game will look less impressive. But, if EA really want to impress the MMA fans, they need to worry more about the gameplay, rather than the graphics. The UFC game was pretty deep, but not deep enough to keep me entertained for a long time. It was fun for the first week or so, until you find ways and different systems to beat certain fighters, with …

New Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Trailer

New Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Trailer

Oh yes, Disney and Bruckheimer are back again from Pirates of the Caribbean to bring you Persians!

Having played Sands of Times, I’m really looking forward to this movie based on the game of the same name. I’m hoping this succeeds so that other video game movies can get a huge ass budget. But then I do love me some craptastic movies like Jean Claude’s Street Fighter, Super Mario Bros., and Double Dragon. So do you think the Prince of Persia can take on King Leonidas?…

Get Your Hands On Bayonetta Now!

Get Your Hands On Bayonetta Now!

Bayonetta Backshot Sexy Body Get Your Hands On Bayonetta Now!

For the PS3 that is. It’s region free with voice acting and subtitles in English to boot (not including the instruction manual). You can get your copy at my favorite Japanese entertainment import site, Play-Asia.com. Asking price is a measly $79.90 plus $3.90 for shipping and handling.

For you lucky Xbox 360 owners, I guess you won’t have to pay for this price, since you’ll have to wait for the actual US version next year. At least you won’t have the urge to spend that much on a game.

Assassin’s Creed Lineage Short Movie Part 1 Hits Online

Assassin’s Creed Lineage Short Movie Part 1 Hits Online

assassins creed lineage short movie Assassin’s Creed Lineage Short Movie Part 1 Hits Online

I belong to those group that really enjoyed Assassin’s Creed. Sure it’s got the same type of missions that you have to do over and over, but I love assassinating people and the controls are really intuitive.

Here, we have the first part of the live-action short movie made by the special effects guys that did 300 and Sin City, Hybride, which was bought by Ubisoft. It has parkour, fighting, and assassinations. If it had silent kills, I’d think it’d be perfect. Zack Snyder would be a good candidate for doing a live-action Assassin’s Creed movie. Wait until the end for …

Meet The Motion Sick, a band that’s close to my nerdy heart. They’ve been dubbed, “Band of the Month” on Spin magazine, had their song featured in Dance Dance Revolution, and is now working on having their music being in Rock Band. How awesome is that? So sit back, relax and enjoy our in depth chat with frontman Mike Epstein.

NERDSociety (NS): Give us a little rundown about your band, The Motion Sick, and how you guys got started.

The Motion Sick (TMS): We’re an indie rock band from Boston.  We kind of …

Game Review: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Game Review: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Uncharted 2 Among Thieves PS3 Cover Game Review: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

I have one word to describe this game, and that word is “Awesome!” The most used vocabulary for the Naughty Dog’s design team, “awesome” describes the story, gameplay, characters, graphics, immersion, and a slew of other things.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves starts of with our boy Nathan Drake badly injured, not recognizing his own blood, about to fall to his death inside a train compartment dangling off a cliff. What a way to start the game off as you try to climb your way back onto the cliff (just think of Jurassic Park 2). The game then goes back into the …
