You take boredom, add fandom, mix it all with a little cinema magic and what do you get?  Some pretty F@#$n awesome fan-made trailers!

While some of them are just re-hashes of other movies masked by Adobe After Effects, there are also those that go the extra mile to see there favorite Super Heroes come to life.

Here are my top 5 fan-made trailers:

5.)  Thundercats

Thundercats is one of my all time favorite cartoon shows growing up.  I even had the sword, which my grandmother sadly gave away to Goodwill. Very well done After Effects, and what an awesome cast, …

original xbox live Xbox Original Live Service Gets The Axe April 15

Microsoft has decided that for the best of the Live community, it’s time to let the old dogs go. That means that by April 15th, the Xbox Live service will stop support for Xbox original games, including Halo 2 and Counter-Strike. Major Nelson says that it will help evolve the LIVE service with new features and experiences that fully harness the power of Xbox 360 and the Xbox LIVE community.

My question is, gamers still play Counter-Strike on the Xbox?

Collections: Part 3!

Collections: Part 3!

In this final part of collections we’ll talk about the negative aspects such as selling, loss and not being able to stop.

There are some great photos of collections and some information for you.

Selling: Why would someone sell something that they spent so much money and time on? There are a few reasons why.

1. They NEED money, and a good amount of it NOW. We either get so wrapped up in spending the money to collect things that we don’t realize the bills need to be paid too–it happens… Or emergencies where money is needed and this is the …

Mass Effect 2 Boxart Game Review: Mass Effect 2

After having just having finished the ending for Mass Effect 2, it beats The Empire Strikes Back in the “Everything’s Screwed” category. It is the sequel to the highly acclaimed original about Commander Shepard embarking on a mission to stop the evil Reapers from annihilating all intelligent life in the far future. The game allows you to create your own Shepard, male or female.

The story starts off with the Normandy, your ship, being torn to bits and pieces, leaving you to die in space. Most of your original team members survived, but has since then moved on. Thanks to …

Batman Statue From Arkham Asylum Game

bm.bw.arkham.asylum 02 Batman Statue From Arkham Asylum Game

This statue will come out in November for a price of $80.  The design is based from the hit Batman game, Arkham Asylum.  While it looks good and it even has the trademark big ass batarang, $80 is a bit much for 7 inch statue .…

Tekken Trailer is Tekken It to The Octagon

tekken girls Tekken Trailer is Tekken It to The Octagon

On the one hand, this looks really bad, with the acting and cheesy story. On the other hand, it portrays the game pretty closely compared to other fighting video game movies by having characters that look like their counterparts where they fight in actual tournaments and a story that follows the main fighter in the game, unlike The Legend of Chun Li and the upcoming King of Fighters movie.

More reasons to check out this movie? Well for one thing, Nina is looking hot in her outfit and Shang Tsung is Heihachi! I’d still have to say the first Mortal Kombat …

Game Review: Bayonetta, My Disproportionate Witch

bayonetta cover Game Review: Bayonetta, My Disproportionate Witch

Game: Bayonetta
Publisher: Sega
Rated: M
Release Date: January 5, 2010

It’s been a while since a game has garnered such attention from its leading lady since Tomb Raider. Bayonetta has arrived from Purgatory and is ready to dance with the boys. Forget everything you know about witches (::cough::Sabrina::cough::), because Bayonetta kicks all sorts of ass while being ridiculously over the top and tongue in cheek. Just a heed of warning, if you’re one of those that don’t like their third-person 3d action games long and hard, then please, play Uncharted 2 instead (still an awesome game).

Her weapon consists of …

The bad ass mech suit in District 9

Best: District 9

District 9 was a nerd’s wet dream.  For a budget of $30 million, director  Neill Blomkamp created a sci fi movie that had awesome special effects that rivaled big budget movies. Unlike most sci fi movies where it focuses more on special effects,  Blomkamp focused on a compelling story of the struggle between humans and aliens.  The best part of the movie was the last 20 minutes.  It was epic because the action scenes reminded you of your favorite FPS video …
