Alan Wake has been in the works for five years and is the latest game by Remedy (the guys that did Max Payne). After having finished playing the game, I can see that a lot of care went into making the story very compelling and engaging. The one gripe I have with the game is that the visuals aren’t quite up to par as I would hope, but Remedy has made up for it by making the dark atmosphere come to life. This game does answer the question about what would happen if Max Payne was stuck inside Silent Hill.

Ubisoft has released new information for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood coming to Xbox 360 and PS3 late 2010. Ezio is back and he’s now a Master Assassin and is going to Rome to stop the Templars. Ezio can’t do it alone as he has to lead the whole Brotherhood to join his cause. We’ll get to see many famous Rome buildings including the Colloseum.

Players can now help the Templars in multiplayer and choose from a wide range of characters, each with their own weapons and assassinations. Annecy, the team responsible for Chaos Theory’s multiplayer will be on board.…

As the newest Street Fighter game, Super Street Fighter 4 is a great improvement to the original Street Fighter 4. 10 new characters, in a mixture of brand new characters and returning fighters from previous series, have joined the roster in the new game. All of the characters are rebalanced, and now the game’s flow is a lot better then the original Street Fighter 4.

G4tv has released a video showing the first 15 minutes of the upcoming game Lost Planet 2.  The second game takes place back on E.D.N. III 10 years after the events of the first game.  The snow has melted revealing jungles and more tropical areas that were hidden under the snow in the first game. The game will focus on the ongoing civil war for T-ENG.  Players will be able to play as several different factions such as Yuri’s Snow Pirates, NEVEC and many other groups battling the Akrid.

Capcom had a Lost Planet 2 launch party called the “Kill Big for Charity” event. This was more of a red carpeted, classy party with alcohol and free food with two different types of crowds mixed in. You’ve got the gamer crowd, and you’ve got the celebrity/VIP crowd. You can definitely tell who’s who.

The VIP crowd were all dressed up and enjoying drinks while the gamer crowd went straight towards the freebies including the “making your own shirt” table, Lost Planet picture booth, Lost Planet plushies and skee ball! Olivia Munn was hosting the tournament with celebrities and lucky winners …

Known as “Badman 2” in Japan, this game is one of the most addictive games I have ever played. Story of this game is simple; the demon Badman calls upon the God of Destruction, the player, to help him stop the invasion of heroes and conquer the land. This is a very new and interesting idea, considering how the player is usually main hero of the story trying to save the world. It’s Street Fighter Day with the release of the professional-looking Street Fighter Legacy short. It’s co-directed by Joey Ansah and Owen Trevor. If you’ve watched The Bourne Ultimatum, then you’d probably recognize Ansah as Desh in that brutal fight scene against Matt Damon. Ryu is played by Jon Foo, a martial artist that’s also going to be the main lead in the Tekken movie. Christian Howard is spot on as Ken.

So Bungie says that they’re not starting any work on their new franchise until Halo: Reach is completed. As much as that may be true, they seem to be building up their infrastructure to support their new venture. I decided to do some checking around for myself and snuck into Bungie as a new hire.
