Last night during the NBA Eastern Conference Finals was the world premier of the trailer for CALL of DUTY: Black OPS.  Black OPS is the first COD game to take place during the Cold War.  You play as a team of soldiers fighting a battle that no one will ever know existed.  Missions will take place in a variety of locations, including Cuba, South America, the Arctic, Vietnam and the Soviet Union.

Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. today announced that tickets for its fifth BlizzCon gaming convention will go on sale in two batches on Wednesday, June 2 and Saturday, June 5, 2010. EA has decided to do something cool for the first time in a while. They are holding a contest where anyone can submit their own catchphrase for the game. Once EA has received all of the submissions via the game’s Facebook page, they will reveal the 64 finalists and stick them in a single-elimination bracket featuring fan votes. The winning quote will be chosen on June 23 and used in the final version of the game to be read by the games’ announcer. Inifinity Ward’s community manager, Robert Bowling, has shared new details in a recent interview with Xbox Live programming manager Major Nelson about the new map pack.  Dubbed as the “Resurgence Pack”, it will be almost identical to the Stimulus Pack, with 3 brand new maps and 2 maps updated from COD4 and sell for 1200 MS points ($15). According to the latest issue of Game Informer, Devil May Cry hero Dante and Marvel’s wisecracking merc Deadpool have been added to the Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds roster. According to the article, Deadpool can teleport throughout environments and uses a special attack where he pummels enemies with his health bar. As for Dante, he will use a dual pistol attack and can enter Devil Trigger mode to boost his speed and power during fights. In the history of bad movie ideas, this definitely has to be up there. Granted there have been bad movie ideas that have turned out to be great films, but I highly doubt this is one of them. Rollercoaster Tycoon is a simulation game about building and maintaining an amusement park with no actual character interaction. Apparently the movie will be a mix of CGI and live action, but the storyline is still unknown. Unfortunately Sony is not the only studio venturing into making movies out of games with no plot.
