Last night an amazing party was put on for the launch of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. The event was held at one of Hollywood’s notorious hot spots, Skybar.  The star-studded event was hosted by none other than True Blood star Ryan Kwanten.

Sony has confirmed that Killzone 3 is coming to the Playstation 3. It starts right after Killzone 2 left off, with the death of Visari (Brian Cox), leaving behind a Helghast world of political scheming, infighting and outright murder. The game will feature levels ten times bigger than Killzone2, ranging from toxic wastelands to a lethal alien jungle.

Electronic Arts is on a roll. Even though their whole “paying extra to play online for used games” sucks big time, they’ve been doing good with developers. After joining forces with the two main dudes behind Infinity Ward and Modern Warfare, EA has partnered up with Insomniac Games through their EA Partners program. Its partnership program allows developers to be independent while EA will be in charge of publishing. Insomniac has been developing for Sony for decades, but this deal will have them developing an all-new franchise from the PS3 to the Xbox 360. This will mark their first multiplatform release …

According to VG247’s “highly placed source”, Sony will be revealing a “Premium Subscription Service” at this year’s E3. It’s official, THQ requires a code to play UFC Undisputed 2010 online. New versions will have the code, and the code can only be used once. So if you’re renting or borrowing, forget about playing online unless you pay an extra $5.

Here’s THQ’s statement: “This multiplayer content for UFC Undisputed 2010 will be available via a one-time code included with the game at purchase. Codes for accessing the content will be available for second-time buyers for an additional $5.”

Looks like THQ is jumping on the EA bandwagon of charging $5 for playing online. Will you support this?

Hideo Kojima and Art Director Yoji Shinkawa will be in attendance in London on June 18th and June 19th to coincide with the launch date.

Amazon.co.uk announced that Red Dead Redemption is the biggest-selling pre-order video game of 2010 to date. After playing the game for a couple of hours, I can understand why. It’s The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly meets Grand Theft Auto. Everything you loved about westerns using sandbox gameplay to ultimately feel like the ultimate cowboy. You can even lasso people, hogtie them, and put them down on a railroad track and wait for the train to come. Muahaha.
