Matt Mullins 21 Interview with Mortal Kombat: Rebirth Short Star Matt Mullins (Johnny Cage)

I interviewed Matt Mullins a while back while he was on the television series Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight and he was gracious enough to talk to me about his awesome Mortal Kombat: Rebirth short film. Matt plays Johnny Cage in the popular short and I ask him about the making of the short film and the chances that it will become a feature-length movie.

E3 2010: Epic Mickey Videos And Details

IMG 5882 E3 2010: Epic Mickey Videos And Details

Wii-exclusive title, Epic Mickey was shown late last year, and to be honest, graphically it didn’t impress me at all.  However, the game has had some time to improve, and as you’ll see in the videos, it looks great now.  The game captures the feel of the Disney cartoons very well, with both the physical worlds, and the animations of the caracters.

The basic gameplay is that of a platformer, with double jumping, and a spin attack.  How Epic Mickey becomes more interesting is that he uses paint thinner to erase parts of levels to open new areas, or to attack …

E3 2010: Vanquish – From Resident Evil Creator, Shinji Mikami

vanquishheaderimglogo580px E3 2010: Vanquish From Resident Evil Creator, Shinji Mikami

So, now that I have your attention, the name of this game is Vanquish, and it will be available for PS3 and 360, possibly this fall.  The man behind the game is Shinji Mikami.

The game is essentially Gears of War, but with a faster pace, from what I’ve seen so far.  However, that’s not to say that it should be skipped over as a wannabe Gears, but instead should be considered a great alternative to Gears.

The controls are what you would typically expect from a third-person shooter, with grenades on the triangle button, L1 as aim, and R1 for …

E3 2010: Rage Is Impressive. ID Is Ready To Deliver

I’ve seen previews in magazines, and screenshots, and I’ve only thought of Rage as a Fallout 3 clone.  Well, thankfully my preconceptions have been proved wrong, as I was lucky enough to enter Bethesda’s appointment-only booth.

From what I’ve seen, there are similarities between Rage and Fallout 3, as they both have an expansive desert over-world.  In Rage, you will enter towns that are full of NPCs with which to interact, and sometimes play mini-games.  We were told that towns may even change the NPCs, quests, and mini-games that are available, as opposed to Fallout 3’s town areas which mostly stayed …

500x 500x kinfinal Microsoft’s Project Natal is Now Kinect [Update]

Only at E3 can a Cirque du Soleil event introduce the new name for Microsoft’s Project Natal project, now dubbed “Kinect.” For those that don’t know about the Natal project, it’s pretty much Microsoft’s answer to Nintendo Wii and Playstation Move. The technology is different from both Nintendo and Sony’s motion controls because it doesn’t need controllers. Your body is the controller. The “Kinect” sensor plugs into your 360 and will be able to read your body movement using video, audio and motion tracking. It’s similar to Sony’s Eyetoy, but it is a lot more advanced because it can track 48 …

Supremacy MMA Supremacy MMA to Take Over UFC Undisputed and EA MMA?

This year’s a good year to be an MMA fan and gamer. Why? Because we have a third MMA game on the horizon this year, other than UFC Undisputed and EA MMA. Out of nowhere comes 505 Games and developer Kung Fu Factory revealing Supremacy MMA just days before E3. It’s going to be made for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The makers say that this game will raise the bar in MMA games by bringing an unprecedented level of fluid combat, intuitive controls and true-to-the-sport brutality with talents that worked on UFC for the Dreamast, The Warriors, Mortal Kombat: …

Might you like an alternative to your usual multiplayer gaming?  Sure, the big budget games are a lot of fun, but Ignition Entertainment and developer Zombie Studios are both hoping they can offer gamers a multiplayer experience that just can’t be passed up; especially considering that they’re offering it at the very low price of $15.
