Remember how awesome GOW was when it first came out? The single-player campaign was fun, but most of my gripping memories came from the 4-on-4 competition. The concept is simple, the first team to take out the opposing players wins.

According to IGN,  the lawsuit between publisher Activision and Infinity Ward Employees Group (IWEG) will go to court on  May 23, 2011.  The lawsuit stems from IWEG claiming that Activision hasn’t paid the full royalty for Modern Warfare 2.  IWEG claims Activision used royalty fees as a leverage so Infinity Ward would work on Modern Warfare 3.

Overall, there are 38 employees in the lawsuit.  Infinity Ward’s CEO Jason West and PresidentVince Zampella also has a separate lawsuit against Activision, stating they haven’t been paid royalties.  The trial is scheduled to start on the same date as the other lawsuit.…

The publisher of World Of Warcraft and Starcraft, Blizzard, announced earlier this week that battle.net members must use their real names to post on their forums. There official reason for the rule was so players can find each other easily and hang out with each other in real life.

I’m assuming they tried to have the new rule so there’ll be less flaming and more thought out posts on their forum. They probably thought it would create a better gaming environment. Whatever the reason maybe, battle.net members cried foul with the new rule, they didnt’ want to post their personal info …

A cool preview of what and how the multiplayer will play. Based on the trailers, the rules are different, it’s not head-to-head competition like most Multiplayer games. This is more designed as a cat-and-mouse type of gameplay; you chase somebody, and somebody else chases you!

McFarlane Toys is focusing all of its energy on Halo toys and who can blame them.  With lackluster sales of “Spawn” and other in house lines (Dragon, Military) , it seems like Halo is their cash cow.

McFarlane today revealed their Halo Reach figures through various websites.  Just like the other Halo figures, it’s 5″ and features around points of articulation.   Below are the description for the figs along with some pics:

Blood Gulch – the legendary multiplayer map from the first two Halo games (renamed Coagulation in the sequel) is coming back for Halo Reach.

What makes Blood Gulch a fan favorite is the size of the map.  It’s not too big or too small.  It’s perfect, especially for CTF.  When you get killed and your enemy has a flag, you still have a chance of retrieving the flag via sniper rifle or grenades.

I’m afraid that this type of costume might not translate too well in 12-inch figures. But, all I can say is WOW! Even more impressive is that this is Hot Toys’ first Renaissance Era action figure.

Price hasn’t been set yet, but based on their other figures, I’m guessing at least $175.

Today, Activision released its 2nd expansion pack  for Modern Warfare 2 for  PS3 and Windows. The second expansion pack is called “Resurgence Pack”  and features five maps.  It’ll cost you $14.99.

The expansion pack has been available to 360 owners more than a month ago due to exclusivity from Microsoft and Activision.
