I knew beforehand that Metal Gear Solid (MGS) creator, Hideo Kojima was a movie buff. You can just tell by the games’ cinematic scenes that he wants to have the same production value as high budget movies. Sure 2001: A Space Odyssey, is on the list but what surprised me though was that MGS wasn’t really influenced by science fiction movies. It was more influenced by some of my favorite action movies including Black Hawk Down and Die Hard.

DC Comics just sent us a press release telling us about a new comic book, Arkham City. The comic will be written by Paul Dini (Batman: The Animated Series) and take place between the original Batman game, Arkham Asylum and its sequel, Arkham City.

The video game community is buzzing about Fox News reporting that playing Epic Games’ Bulletstorm will make cause kids to become rapists. They interviewed a pyschologist and she said the following “The increase in rapes can be attributed in large part to the playing out of [sexual] scenes in .” Fox couldn’t really prove that were were rape scenes in the game but instead started complaining about the sexual lingos used for kill combos such as “gang bang.”

Superbowl 45 came to an end and it was actually pretty good. But the main reason I watched the game was for the movie ads. Below are the Superbowl movie ads, from crap to awesome:

1,500+ fans were in full force to play Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Some fans waited since 1am in the morning for the 8p.m. opening. That’s hardcore for you. There were musical performances throughout the whole night including DJ R-Rated Miles Mosley and band and Mega Ran and Leeni.
