Sony has reported that their online service was hacked again yesterday, compromising 24.6 million accounts.  Last week, Sony finally admitted their network was breached after consumers were outraged by not acting immediately on the issue.  PSN has been down for about two weeks.

I’ve been moving so I haven’t had time to play PS3, but I hope I didn’t put my credit card info on their system.  Supposedly you’re safe if you didnn’t buy anything from their rip off store.

Sony executive Kaz Hirai has publicly apologized for the major security breach of their Playstation network.  The following subscribers’ personal information has been compromised:  name, shipping & billing address, country, date of birth, PSN/Qriocity ID and password, PSN/Qriocity security question and answer and purchase history.  Sony posted this message on their Playstation blog:

Game looks fun, but probably won’t last long.…

Nintendo legend, Shigeru Miyamoto (Mario, Zelda) has confirmed the new Nintendo system is in its final stages.  IGN has confirmed it can be ready for launch as early as October, Miyamoto hasn’t confirmed the date but told the reporters at a press conference to be “patient.”

The new system will be in 1080p HD, as well as 3D compatible.  It’s supposedly more powerful than the PS3 and the size of the original Xbox 360. 

I’m really excited about this news.  I’ve been a Nintendo fan since the original Mario came out fo the NES.  Imagine playing Mario and Zelda with better …

Here’s the second part of MK: Legacy.  I guess it’s Mortal Kombat day with the new game, blu-ray and this webisode released today.

I like the money shot but the ending reminded me of Ahnullld in Terminator 2.…

Here’s the first episode of the Mortal Kombat web series.  It stars Michael Jai White as Jax and Jeri Ryan as Sonya.

I’m glad it still captured the feel of the “unofficial” trailer several months ago.  It has that gritty feel.  The shoot out was a bit long but I like the cliffhanger ending.  Can’t wait when Scorpion and Sub Zero show up.

For people looking to buy a 3D TV, there’s good news from Samsung.  Starting May 1st,Samsung will be include 2, 3D glasses .  The glasses used to cost $129 but it’ll also have a price drop starting in May.  I was going to buy a Panasonic 50″ 3D tv this week but I think I’ll wait longer now.  Panasonic will hopefully be competitive and offer a similar deal.  Can’t wait to play 3D games!…

I like to throw the word epic around but the Sims Medieval launch party was literally epic: kids were knighted, tense battles between the good and the bad, awesome deaths and a free copy of the game!
