I always found gambling in general to be pretty boring compared to playing video games. Just sitting and staring for hours while pushing one or two buttons is not my idea of fun, even if there’s that slim chance I could win a couple hundred bucks… or a couple thousand. Just as I predicted, Batman: Arkham City has been ousted as the #1 game of 2011. Bragging rights goes to EA’s Battlefield 3 which has sold 5 million units (console and downloads) in its first week. The title probably won’t hold long with Uncharted 3 and Modern Warfare 3 still coming out. I played about 30 minutes of the single player campaign and I like the controls. For some, Halloween is a time for costumes and candy. For others, it’s a time for pranks. But for engaged couple Jesse and Jeanna, anytime is a good time for a prank. According to Kotaku, GTA V (5) will be set in Los Angeles aka San Andreas. The first game to feature the city was GTA: San Andreas and focused more on the hood and Santa Monica. The new GTA will probably focus more on downtown LA. I just hope Las Vegas and San Francisco will also be covered just like GTA: San Andreas. I also want to ride bikes again and be fat if I don’t work out.

Rocksteady and WB has announced that they shipped 4.6 million units of Arkham City worldwide. It has beaten Gears Of Wars 3 as the #1 game of 2011. The title won’t last long with MW 3, Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3 giving Arkham a run for its money.
Arkham City will be a cash cow for the developers because it has so many paid downloadable contents including skins and unlockable characters.

Toys”R”Us Times Square will sell 500 copies of Arkham City on Monday Oct 17, 2011, 1 day before the official Tuesday release. But that’s not it. The first 100 people that pre order the game will get an opportunity to get an autograph from comic artist legend, Jim Lee, Kevin Conroy (voice of Batman) and game director, Sefton Hill.
Batman and Catwoman will also make an appearance for photo ops.
