I don’t really remember watching the tv show back in the 80’s.  What I remember the most from the cartoon was the action figures.  I had 2 versions of the 5 figures that would transform into one big ass robot  (6 and 10 inch versions I think).  Those toys were really because the articulation was good and I’d have them battle with G.I. Joe’s.  I just saw this trailer for a new Voltron game coming out for Xbox 360 marketplace and PS3 PSN.  I like the gameplay, reminds me of old school arcade.

On Saturday, Nintendo celebrated the launch Super Mario 3D Land™ for Nintendo 3DS by turning Military Island at Times Square into Mario’s 3D World! In Aurora, Colorado today, a 31 year old guy became enraged when his local Best Buy ran out of Modern Warfare 3 and threatened to blow up the store using some sort of incendiary device. He also told several store employees that he was going to shoot them when they got off work. Update:  See video where suspect tells his side of the story HERE.

COD: MW 3 will no doubt be the #1 game of the year.  VG Chartz has reported the game sold 9.3 million copies on release day alone.  That’s more than half a billion dollars of sales (9.3 x $60).  Damn, that’s a lot of cash being exchanged.  To show you crazy that sales number is, Battlefield 3, sold about 5 million for the WHOLE week.    Say what you want about MW 3 but Activision has done a great job marketing this game.

I’m loving BF 3 so far but I can tell it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.  Main reason is that the game encourages teams to work together.  The more teamwork, the easier it’s to accomplish the objectives.  Of course, you still have the idiots that will snipe throughout the whole game when the objective is to plant charges.  I like the recoil the gun, so it’s harder to kill your enemies than COD.

Back in the days, before the UFC was synonymous with MMA, one organization stood above all, it was called PRIDE Fighting Championships. PRIDE was known for its fast-paced action. The rules were different, PRIDE fighters were allowed to throw soccer kicks on a downed opponent, as well as throw knees from a sprawl position.

Unfortunately, PRIDE eventually bankrupted itself, and the UFC bought the Company. The good news is that the UFC has decided to add a ‘PRIDE mode’ in their upcoming ‘Undisputed’ video game.

The sculpts and paint jobs keep getting better for Kotobukiya’s Bishoujo line.  I think this might be there best figure to date.  It has a nice pose and the paint job looks stunning, it doesn’t look too shiny and plasticky (is that even a word?).
