IGN started streaming their latest trailer for the Final Fantasy XIII-2 game which will be released in the US on January 31, 2012.  This short trailer focuses on the characters, grouping them by the rivals (Lightning & Caius), the heroes (Noel & Serah) and the returning stars (Hope & Snow).

There has also been a bit of controversy over the downloadable costumes, specifically barely-legal Serah’s low cut resort-style wear and a certain bikini that totally contradicts prior comments made in October by producer Yoshinori Kitase that the swimsuit/school-girl types of outfits would be “unbalanced for the game’s scenes.”

Shigeru Miyamoto, the man that introduced me to video games with Nintendo and Mario ISN’T retiring after all.  Wired.com stated that Miyamoto is retiring to focus on smaller game developments.  Kotaku cleared up the statement that Miyamoto will not be quitting Nintendo anytime soon.  What he’s actually doing is stepping down as an operational manager to work more closely with new programmers and teaching them the ropes that made Zelda, Pikmin and Metroid so great.

I lost track of this DLC but Warner just informed me it’s available now for download.  Details below:

Middleweight UFC contender, Jon Fitch, loves Skyrim so much that he created a twitter name (@fitchskyrim) based off the game.  On his twitter account, he’s posting his gameplay experience as well as putting up pictures from the game.  One of his latest tweets today:

I had some intense battles on Street Fighter 4, which mostly consisted of me getting my butt kicked online.  I never played the newer versions of Street Fighter IV, but apparently fans were complaining with the balance gameplay.  Capcom has listened to the player and informed us today that they’ve made changes for all 39 characters.  The update will be for SSF IV: Arcade Edition and it will be called Version 2012.  Best part of the news is that the update will be free.  No word yet when the update will be released but it should be before the end of …

Who would’ve thought that there could be so many creative ways to visit the Elysian fields in one game?  HunterNormandy compiled a humorous albeit interesting list of Skyrim deaths and posted it on Youtube.  Some of my own personal favorites include #10 Parkour, #24 Pissing off nature, #33 Jumping on the dinner table, #34 Pretending to own a shop that isn’t yours, #62 Eating too much, #96 Getting hit by a fish, also while committing various abuses toward the different background talent like servants and old people. Er, you’ll see what I mean……
