After several weeks of speculation, it has been cofirmed that a new Avengers TV series will begin airing in 2013 on Cartoon Network.

The article does not mention the cancellation of the current Earth Mightiest Heroes show, but it would be pointless to have two different Avengers cartoon on two networks. which pretty much confirms that the current (awesome and great) Avengers cartoon is, unfortunately, a goner.

Several things about the show have been confirmed in the article.
