DVD Review: Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad Volume 1 (TV Series)

DVD Review: Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad Volume 1 (TV Series)

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers has a long legacy and is extremely popular. Many pretenders to the Rangers throne were born in the 90s. They are slowly being released on DVD (though sadly, not Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight as of yet). VR Troopers and Big Bad Beetleborgs (which I still find creepy to this very day because of the vampire pedophile dude with the Jay Leno chin)are both available on DVD. Can the awful Masked Rider be far behind? Masked Rider featured a multi-racial family of non-actors and some of the cheapest fight scenes ever pulled from the vault. Superhuman Samurai …

TV Spot: Bates Motel

“It’s the story of a sweet boy and his loving mother.”

Indeed. Bates Motel is a series based on Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho. It’s essentially a backstory of the relationship between mother and son, and their new neighbors.

I will be watching this!

Premieres March 18th, 2013 on A&E.…

Lack Of Respect For Animation In The West

Lack Of Respect For Animation In The West

Ah animation and the western part of the world, like pouring salt on an open, bleeding wound, why can these two things not find harmony I wonder? Oh I know! Its because people in the west seem to think the minute something’s animated it must be for stupid, brain dead 3 year olds who cant even wipe their own asses yet! And when we do get an intelligent animated show, it gets canceled just to be replaced by the stupid kid crap.

Unless you don’t know what im getting at then let me remind you, yesterday Cartoon Network confirmed that both

The Legend of Korra Season 1 Review/Analysis

The Legend of Korra Season 1 Review/Analysis

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a show comparable in quality to Batman The Animated series, both shows gave us the viewers deep and engaging stories, likeable and very real characters and some of the finest animation work done by a team in North America, a place that has mostly abandoned traditional animation in favor of a CGI one which almost always looks like a low budget rip off of the Incredibles.

But all good things must come to an end and so did Avatar: TLA in 2008 however even before the show reached its mostly satisfying conclusion, rumors of a sequel …

Wonder Woman Casting Gets Underway

Wonder Woman Casting Gets Underway

wonder woman adam hughes Wonder Woman Casting Gets Underway

The CW and Warner Brothers have taken probably the most crucial step toward bringing the Wonder Woman origins TV show to light,: they’ve hired casting agents  Barbara Fiorentino and Danielle Aufiero to fill a role, code named “Iris” (although Deadline reports that it is in fact for Diana), and they’re apparently launching a large-scale search for this actress so if you fit the bill, by all means, send them your headshot and resume ASAP. This part will just be for the pilot, of course, but still, if the pilot gets picked up, chances are they’ll use the same actress. Here are …

NYCC – Arrow Trailer

NYCC – Arrow Trailer

Arrow, as in Green Arrow. And yes, it looks pretty damn good. I was a big Smallville fan but the show became too colorful and campy for me (the last episode was cool though). But, I’m glad that WB has decided to take Arrow the other way. The story feels darker and maybe even more serious. Another TV show on my list, on top of the hundreds that are already waiting for me!…

Arrow Pilot Review

Arrow Pilot Review

arrow 2012 first look Arrow Pilot Review

Ever since the end of the 10 season long Smallville, the CW has been working ever since to create a new show that can replicate its success while still being a great show in its own right.

Arrow should not have worked on any level, it was on the CW (the channel that I used to dread because of the Vampire Diaries and the god awful Smallville) and it was a live action super hero TV series, and yet despite everything against it, based solely on the pilot, Arrow is one of the best shows on the air and one you
