Transformers: More Years Than Meets The Eye!

Transformers: More Years Than Meets The Eye!

Hey readers, what’s up?! With the new movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen coming out just around the corner, I have a few fun tidbits that I think would interest you.

In the early to mid 70’s in Japan they had a line called Diaclone which featured a plethora of figures that people who grew up in the 80’s hold dear to them.

Here is Diaclone Convoy (Optimus Prime), looks the same except for the obvious graphic on the side of his trailer and Rollar having some riders (I would like to thank AUTOCON for having the picture).

Enter into the …

DVD Review: Reaper- The Complete Second Season

reaper DVD Review: Reaper The Complete Second Season

The CW Network recently announced it wasn’t bringing back its cult series Reaper back for another season much to the dismay of many loyal viewers. It can hardly come as a surprise though, as season two of the terrific series almost never saw the light of day. The CW started airing season two at midseason and then aired all 13 episodes in a row. It ended just a few weeks ago and now season two is already on DVD in this attractive package.

Fans know what to expect from Reaper. A sharp slacker comedy mixed with supernatural elements. Sam (affable Bret …

The A-Team Movie

The A-Team Movie

ateam The A Team Movie

My coworkers told me at lunch that the A-Team is being made to a movie.  They were hating on it but I was excited about the news.  I love the TV show.  I watched the show everyday when I was a kid.  Sure, the story was the same, but it was the chemistry between the main actors that made it so entertaining.

I checked out imdb.com and learned that Joe Carnahan (Smokin Aces, Narc) is directing the movie.  Not a big fan of his because of the tone of his movies; sometimes he makes it too serious with …

kamen rider Action Figure Review: Kamen Rider Dragon Knight Toy Line

Bandai recently released a full line of Kamen Rider figures which are currently available in stores. The figures are based on the CW4Kids show Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight, currently airing on Saturday mornings. I have seen the figures at Toys R Us and at toysrus.com.

Bandai was kind enough to send me 3 figures as a part of their line to review.

Kamen Rider 4 inch figures (retail price 7.99): I received Camo from this selection of figures and its my favorite pick for kids. The articulation is very good and all the joints move for poseable action. They come …

R.I.P. David Carradine

R.I.P. David Carradine

david R.I.P. David Carradine

Legendary actor David Carradine was found dead in his hotel room in Thai Land.  A roomkeeper found his body hanging in the closet.  Authorities are thinking he committed suicide and no foul play was involved.  I must admit, I was never a fan of Kung Fu, the show that made Carradine a household name.  I wasn’t a big fan until I saw Kill Bill.  I was really surprised with his screen presence and the way he delivered Quentin Tarantino’s dialogues.  His speech about Superman in Volume 2 was awesome and the highlight of the movie.

I guess Carradine battled with drugs …

2009 MTV Movie Awards Afterthoughts

2009 MTV Movie Awards Afterthoughts

eminem ass to face with bruno 2009 MTV Movie Awards Afterthoughts

The 2009 MTV Movie Awards is over and I have to say that Andy Samberg did a mighty fine job hosting it. Overall, it was pretty entertaining, but was disappointed with Twilight’s take over. That’s what I get for not voting (The new Twilight: Blue Moon trailer was actually pretty interesting). The thing that makes these MTV award shows pretty fun are the things that these actors would do to entertain the viewers. And for that, I applaud them.

Here are some cool moments that I really enjoyed:

–    Kiefer Sutherland getting emotional over Ben Stiller’s many awesome performances. He mentions …

 BotCon 09 Recap

Another weekend, another convention.  This time it was for BotCon 09, the official Transformers convention held in Pasadena, CA.  This was my first BotCon experience and I really enjoyed it.

John Spartan assembling Optimus in the car.

Saturday:

We arrived at the Pasadena Convention Center around 1:30 and grabbed a quick bite at Rubio’s Mexican Grill across the street (the taco burger was great). As we were heading back to the convention, we noticed several Transformer’s standees in the shopping center. We took a picture with the standees and a Hasbro employee gave us a Decepticon promo piece that we can …
