So, my friends, another season of Walking Dead has come to an end but fear not, because Season 4 of A Game of Thrones starts this Sunday. In preparation for the new episodes, I have been going back to HBO on demand and binge watching the first three seasons of the show and I’m so glad, too.

Because I love the show so much, I have decided to wait on reading the books and the comics, too, which I have been collecting since they first came out. Even though it seems from the covers that the comics are a little behind …

Walking Dead Season 4 Finale Recap (with Spoilers!)

Walking Dead Season 4 Finale Recap (with Spoilers!)

The Walking Dead Season 4 Cast Banner3 Walking Dead Season 4 Finale Recap (with Spoilers!)

So another season of The Walking Dead has come to a close. I rewatched the episodes they aired before the finale because I wanted a refresher but also because I knew this was the last one and I was already feeling the loss. Not sure if this is true but the season 4 finale is being called the most watched TV episode ever. I knew the numbers would be big. The show is damn popular. Even Dish got smart and finally jumped on board.

While I was happy that some loose ends were resolved, there were still some questions left …

The Addams Family: A Celebration.

The Addams Family: A Celebration.

Shows about families have been a staple of mainstream TV almost since its inception.  But there was never a television clan quite like the Addams Family.  The series ran for two seasons (1964-66) on the ABC network.  Despite this short duration, it became a cult classic which spawned two theatrical films, a cartoon series, several TV specials, and a 2007 musical production.

AF comic The Addams Family: A Celebration.

Creator Charles Addams was a cartoonist who drew the original characters for the New Yorker magazine. Their first appearance was way back in 1938.  The basic family structure was there from the start: an unsmiling European-style couple who dressed …

Walking Dead slot machines just arrived just in time for this Sunday’s mid season premiere of the show.  The casino is the first on the West Coast to host the slot machine.  Zombies were all over the casino floor looking for brains and hopefully win some moolah along the way.  Below are some pics from the fun event:

Ah The Grammys… Touted as “music’s biggest night,” the Grammys are music industry’s version of the Oscars. While musicians still regard this prize with respect and covetous idolatry, the Grammys have a tendency to year in and year out feature the same acts (at least, as far as what they show on TV), many of whom are veritable dinosaurs in the business.  Nominees for this year’s best rock song were members of the Beatles,  Nirvana, Black Sabbath, and the Rolling Stones. These guys came out with the best rock song … for this year? Really?

Still, the show wasn’t all bad. …

Walking Dead Mid-Season Finale Recap (Spoilers)

Walking Dead Mid-Season Finale Recap (Spoilers)

walking dead Walking Dead Mid Season Finale Recap (Spoilers)

Wow! Talk about your cliff-hangers. I’m so happy to be a fan of this show because it never lets me down. Very few episodes have been anything but compelling and suspenseful. The mid-season finale was no exception.

Like at the end of season two, we see the group come under siege and ultimately have to run for their lives in different directions. There was foreshadowing since early on in the season that they weren’t going to be able to stay at the prison for long. The fences weren’t doing that great of a job of keeping out the zombies and more …

“Almost Human” is a sci-fi / detective story set 35 years in the future which centers on a detective named John Kennex (Karl Urban) who is partnered with a “synthetic,” an android designed with human-like emotions who shows more empathy at times than his human counterpart. The synthetic Dorian is played by Michael Ealy. Together, these two fight crime in a not-too-distant future where the criminals are all very tech savvy but Kennex has an edge because Dorian is not only a badass cop but he’s also really handy being that he is equipped with the ability to access databases and …
