You might already be familiar with the Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight series currently showing in the US.  Kamen Rider V3 was a live-action, superhero TV show that first came out in the early 70’s, around the same time as Kikaider. (See my Kikaida article for more info).  A guy named Toru Hirayama got together with Ishinomoto, the creator of Kikaider, and put together a TV show based on a guy who wore a mask and costume that somewhat resembled a grasshopper. It was called Kamen Rider (which means “masked rider”).

Sesame Street released short clips to promote its new season and one of them featured the sexy Katy Perry singing a revised version of  “Hot And Cold” with Elmo.  When the video was released, parents (I’d assume mostly moms) were outrage by Perry’s cleavage.  There’s a couple of scenes of her running around that probably shouldn’t be watched by toddlers.  With the feedback the video is getting, Sesame Street has decided to remove the segment.  The video will still be up on Katy Perry’s official site.

Okay folks, Supernatural Season 5 is out, and does not disappoint. This is probably the best season to date, pretty much every episode is enjoyable from top to bottom. Okay, there are a few lacklusters, but it’s 22 episodes so it’s only understandable.

Season 5 deals with one major issue, the Apocalypse. Lucifer is loose, and is bent on destroying earth as we know it. Also, the angels are involved, but they are angry as they have been abandoned by their Father, and is set on fighting Lucifer and his crew, even if it means destroying anything that gets in their …

Before there was the Power Rangers, or any other Japanese-inspired, live-action, superhero television show on for that matter, two series aired in Hawai’i and briefly in various cities around the continental U.S. called  Kikaider and Kamen Rider V3.  

Anyone who grew up in Hawai’i in the 70’s and 80’s knows about Kikaida and Kamen Rider V3.  They were tokusatsu (live-action superhero) shows which aired on an all-Japanese channel and although many of the young viewers could not understand the Japanese language, they fell in love with these shows nonetheless.   Many could not even read English well enough to …

The Winchester brothers are back, as they hunt for more demons in season 3 of Supernatural, in Blu-ray for the first time. Towards the end of Season 2, Dean (Jensen Ackles) offers his soul to the devil to save his brother Sam’s life. Sam (Jared Padalecki) wants to hear none of that, and will try his best to keep Dean from going to hell, they have one year to find a way around the deal. I just got word from Spike that the tv show, Deadliest Warrior will be made into a movie by Paramount.  The story hasn’t been revealed yet but there’s one thing certain, this will be bloody!  Here’s the official release from Spike:

It’s getting rare nowadays to find a show that is not only enjoyable to watch, but also, over-the-top funny.

From Canada and played on Cartoon Network and even Australia the Total Drama series has spanned 3 seasons so far.

Starting with, Total Drama: Island, the animated comedy was spawned to make fun of reality shows by pitting teenagers against each other in the usual “reality” style contests. Anime Vegas was a small, but fun event held at the Alexis Park Hotel in Las Vegas. The cosplayers came in full force, and there were plenty of high-quality costumes for the cameras.
