Blue Mountain State is a low-brow comedy series from Spike TV that often plays like an American Pie/Porky’s hybrid about a college football team of idiots and sex-crazed morons. The show is often funny, even when it’s extremely stupid, often at the same exact time. The series will mostly appeal to the Spike TV demographics of beer-swilling sports fans, but people who enjoy a raunchy comedy will enjoy it as well. Fox has picked up the first 6 animated episodes of the Napoleon Dynamite.   The cast from the movie will voice the show as it follows the misadventures of an awkward high school teenager and his quirky friends as they struggle to navigate life in rural Idaho. No premiere date has been announced yet but based on the image above, this can be funny.  Uncle Rico can have his football adventures and hopefully we’ll see more of Rex Kwon Do’s awesome pants.…

Sneaky Dexter ($13) – I like this one the best as it is the original. I’ve always admired the originals more than the variants, like the ghostbusters, or He-Mans.

Two and a Half Men is one of TV’s biggest shows. But, one has to wonder how long the charade will last. Here we are in the 7th Season of the very funny and witty show. The formula doesn’t seem much, we have the womanizing drunk in Charlie, living with his goofy brother Alan, and Alan’s not so bright son. The three characters might seem one-dimensional, but when you mix them together, everybody gets a good laugh.

The Show Itself – A J.J Abrams production, Fringe is a wonderful story blending sci-fi with “realistic” investigations. I’ll be honest and say that I never saw the first season. So, I popped Season 2 on my PS3 not knowing what to expect. The first episode holds my attention. It starts off with a car accident, but when investigators arrive, the cars are empty. Everyone knows that creating a new sitcom that is actually funny is one of the hardest tasks in television. The New Adventures of Old Christine is a quirky TV series starring Seinfeld’s Julia Louis-Dreyfus.  Due to the writers’ strike of 2007,  season 3 is only 10 episodes long.  Christine goes through a lot of crap in season 3 like losing her boyfriend Mr. Harris to her insane schedule.  As a single mom who is also an entrepeneur (Christine owns an exercise gym), she is a very busy woman.  The show does a really good job of addressing a lot of the real challenges working, single moms face in today’s society.    She has a hard time finding a man who is …

Smallville was a bit uneven, but overall another good episode. The awesome villain Deadshot (who sadly, was in the episode all too briefly) appeared in the episode and displayed a menacing charm. He was shot perfectly from low angles like a baddie in an old western. Lois Lane has packed up and moved overseas and Cat Grant has started at the Daily Planet. The opening scenes establish her as a republican go-getter (reminding me instantly of girls I attended college with) who hates heroes and sees herself as a truth-teller who would be right at home on FOX News. Nickelodeon has just released a statement that they have picked up the action/comedy series Supah Ninjas for 26 episodes.  Here are some details according to PRNewswire:  Comic book in tone and cinematic in style, Supah Ninjas follows three unsuspecting kids who are drafted into the secret world of ninjas.  Created by Eric Garcia and Leo Chu (Afro Samurai) the series will be helmed by executive producers Garcia, Chu and Brian Robbins and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett (Fred: The Movie) under the Varsity Pictures production banner.  The series is slated to begin production this year in Los Angeles for premiere in 2011.
