ABC has released the first pics of the cast of their new Charlie’s Angels TV show. The premise of this one has been updated for today’s audiences, as the Angels are not graduates from the police academy but hardcore criminals who were given the chance to redeem themselves by catching other bad guys.  Here are Minkah Kelly, Annie Llonzeh and Rachael Taylor compliments of The Hollywood Reporter:

HBO’s been on a roll lately.  Between True Blood, Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones, one might wonder how they can keep this winning streak going.  If you’re a fan of Kings, Queens, knights, swords and scary monsters (okay the last one hasn’t shown up quite yet), you’ll love their new series Game of Thrones.  According to Deadline Hollywood, its 3^rd episode was watched by 2.4 million viewers.  That’s up from the 2.2 million who saw the first two episodes.  This is good news for a new series.

Ahsoka Tano

A  recent blog  for Clone Wars/SW fans asserts that the female characters in Cartoon Network`s Clone Wars  are “over-sexualized” by their “scanty” attire, especially Jedi apprentice Ahsoka Tano and the older Aayla Secura.  It`s true that the male Jedis on the show wear long, monk-like robes and/or cropped pants, while Aayla and Ahsoka wear somewhat less.  But I`m not sure if their clothing can be construed as scanty.  Consider AT`s costume: a leather halter top with a short brown skirt and leggings.  I never thought of it as particularly  sexy or revealing.  This is reinforced by the fact that …

Ed O’Neill, aka Al Bundy turns 65 today.  I didn’t know he was that old, damn I’m getting old.  My favorite tv show of all time, Married With Children, became a classic thanks to O’Neill’s charisma.  He hated his wife but if you watch enough shows, you can tell he really loves Peg.

Here’s the first episode of the Mortal Kombat web series.  It stars Michael Jai White as Jax and Jeri Ryan as Sonya.

I’m glad it still captured the feel of the “unofficial” trailer several months ago.  It has that gritty feel.  The shoot out was a bit long but I like the cliffhanger ending.  Can’t wait when Scorpion and Sub Zero show up.

Who was it that originated the fake documentary?  Was it the guys from Spinal Tap?  Since then there’s been others like  The Blair Witch Project and The Fourth Kind.
