I have been collecting the MOTUC line since its debut about six years ago. A great deal has happened during those six years and so far many of the releases this current year have been fantastic. A line of “alternate” appearance statues have been created in Japan (where else) of the female characters from Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Some in the line are Christie Monteiro, Jay Cee (Julia Chang), and a few others…however, what caught my eye was the limited edition of 1500 world wide, Asuka Kazama.

Asuka is from Osaka Japan, her name Kazama may sound familiar to Tekken fans as being the last name of Jin and Jun; her relationship to them is probably being the daughter of Jun’s brother and Jin’s cousin. In Tekken 5, her ending is really funny and makes her appear …

From Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is an awesome action figure of Jun Kazama. Jun hasn’t been in a Tekken game since part 2—she now returns as a fully articulated and finely detailed figure that could double as a statue.

Packaged in an amazing window box with an opening flap and even foil text; don’t be fooled, the image of Jun is actually the figure.

Masters of the Universe Classics showed no signs of stopping with the double feature for May. A standard figure and beast sized figure were released for subscribers and day of sales. Both releases were new to collectors who have long dreamt of owning Battle Lion (King Grayskull’s Battle Cat) and Scorpia (another great Horde villainess.) Neither items have been made before and while there was the typical reuse of parts, there are plenty of new sculpt pieces that make this a month of some magnificent MOTUC collecting. Let’s look!
