Thanksgiving means only two things: eating till your back hurts and shopping till your wallet hurts!

The day after Thanksgiving is notorious for ridiculous deals every year.  BLACK FRIDAY, the day in which millions of shoppers line up for hours, tent out of shopping malls, and wait in anticipation for those outrageous deals normally available at a certain time frame and with limited quantities.

Netflix is now available to you on the PS3. Welcome to last year Sony, but it’s better late than never. Okay, it wasn’t Sony’s fault that Microsoft likes to spend millions on exclusives, thus leaving Sony in the dust. But now that Netflix has come to the PS3, it has become the ultimate entertainment system, with Blu-ray and streaming movies and shows over the internet. After 3 years in the market, the PS3 has finally beaten out Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 in sales for the month of September, thanks to the $100 price cut. Let’s see if Uncharted 2 can help boost sales for Sony for next month and the upcoming holiday season.

Here are the numbers for September 2009:

1. Nintendo DS – 524,200 units sold
2. PlayStation 3 – 491,800
3. Wii – 462,800
4. Xbox 360 – 352,600
5. PlayStation Portable – 190,400
6. PlayStation 2 – 146,000

When the Wii first came out, people were excited to see the new motion-control abilities available for a video game system.  The enthusiasm died down for some, because they realized that the Wii controller didn’t have 1:1 realistic interpretation of hand movements, and was later dubbed the waggle stick.  I don’t believe Nintendo ever claimed that the Wii had 1:1 perfect motion controls, I think it was just hoped, or assumed by some; when they found out the reality, they went into a nerd rage and have been storming the internet ever since.
