Sony has reported that their online service was hacked again yesterday, compromising 24.6 million accounts.  Last week, Sony finally admitted their network was breached after consumers were outraged by not acting immediately on the issue.  PSN has been down for about two weeks.

I’ve been moving so I haven’t had time to play PS3, but I hope I didn’t put my credit card info on their system.  Supposedly you’re safe if you didnn’t buy anything from their rip off store.

For people looking to buy a 3D TV, there’s good news from Samsung.  Starting May 1st,Samsung will be include 2, 3D glasses .  The glasses used to cost $129 but it’ll also have a price drop starting in May.  I was going to buy a Panasonic 50″ 3D tv this week but I think I’ll wait longer now.  Panasonic will hopefully be competitive and offer a similar deal.  Can’t wait to play 3D games!…

The disaster in Japan will cause shortage in electronic products all over the world.  Major electronic factories in Japan like Sony, Panasonic and Canon were affected by the earthquake and tsunami.  Sony reported losing 127,000 PS3 consoles due to the natural disaster.  The price in China for the 120 GB PS3 went up by $30.  iPad 2, which was already sold out when released a week ago, will be even tougher to find.  5 components for Apple’s hot seller comes from Japan and it’s guaranteed it will be even tougher to find.  Over on eBay, the 64 gb iPad, which retails …

In April, an exhibit will go on display at Milan Design Week of interior design decor inspired by Tron: Legacy.  Designers and architects hired by Disney and DuPont collaborated on this project called “Tron Designs Corian.”    The showcase will utilize a material called Corian (which you may have seen in kitchen countertops) and lots of electroluminescence that will give the furniture and decor that sleek Tron style.  Here’s some of the designs from the exhibit:

It took a few months but, finally a few memorable figures have been sent as part of the subscription to Mattycollector.com’s Club Eternia.

 King Hssss is detailed extremely well, he has a fully articulated upper body including his head and arms. The original figure had a shell of the disguised form of the leader of the Snake Men. The parts of the shell snapped off and revealed a mass of yellowish snakes as the true form of King Hssss.

This is BMW’s latest Vision concept car which is being described as something out of the movie Tron.  Most cars have computers that receive information and are not actually engaging in dialogues.  BMW’s Connected Drive system, currently on display at the Geneva motor show, has many interesting features that you won’t find in your average Hyundai or Honda.  Ultimately, it’s supposed to connect to a driver’s desktop or mobile device, probably as some sort of crazy app.  I can only imagine what a “My Car” app could do:  start warming it up while I’m still in the shower, send it …

Everyone seems to be buying LCD’s and LED when it comes to flat screen TV’s but Plasma is making a comeback.  Plasma was introduced 8 years ago and didn’t become as popular as LCD.  Reason was the cost and life expectancy.  While it was obvious the Plasmas had better picture quality, a tv could cost up to $8 grand, with light bulb life only expected to work for 5 years.  Fast forward 8 years later and plasmas have better value than LCD’s.  I was at Costco two days ago and saw a 42-inch Panasonic Plasma for $479.  I bought the same …

Apple has reported that it had $26.7 billion in sales for the for the 4th quarter of 2011 and a net profit of $6 billion. With the report of the profit, Apple’s stock price went up by $5 today to $345.80.  The most surprising stats for me was the sale of iPads.  They sold 7.33 million units.  I still don’t see the point of owning one but everyone that has it said it’s really cool.  Maybe I’ll play with it some more at their store.  Another crazy info that Apple revealed is that 80 companies out of the Fortune 100 companies …

Our friends at Mimobot just announced their latest line at CES, DC Comics.  The first wave will consist of Batman characters including Blue and Black versions of Batman, Joker, Robin and Catwoman.

 
 
 

 
The  limited black costume Batman (5000 pieces) is now available for purchase on the site but the rest of the characters haven’t been added yet.

Mimobots are USB flash drives that have really cool designs and includes themes and wallpapers.  The  Lines range from Star Wars to Halo and now DC!
