It goes without saying that Wolverines first solo film was kind of a disaster in the eyes of many people. It created a gargantuan amount of continuity problems, it butchered the already well done Weapon X story in X2, got rid of Deadpools mouth and was generally a bad film with  few redeeming qualities so people are understandably apprehensive about this new solo outing, especially after its very long and troubled production. But like another troubled film that came out earlier this year and pleasantly surprised me, The Wolverine is a fantastic Wolverine film and its the second best X-Men film

I usually dislike reviewing single issues of a comic books as I feel that you can’t get a right feel for the comic based solely on one issue and some of the problems you may have in one issue may be resolved by the next one, making your complaints moot. But I decided to make an exception for this particular title as it sort of came out of no where and got my attention almost instantly.

For the longest time now I’ve had this need to read a heist comic book, I tried Thief of Thieves and while it was solid,

Movie Review: World War Z

Brad Pitt in World War Z Movie HD Wallpaper 1024x640 Movie Review: World War Z Going into this film I had absolutely no positive expectations, for over a year I kept track of this particular film and was well aware of its very long and very troubled development. From constant changes to the script, various re-shoots, close to a dozen writers being brought on to the project and insanely high production costs were just some of the films many, many problems during production. Being a fan of the book I was also among those not pleased by the changes that were seemingly being done and from the outset a World War Z movie instead of an …

STK517533 1024x553 Comic Book Review: Avengers Vol 1 Avengers World

I think it’s fair to say that Jonathan Hickman is the Grant Morrison of Marvel, both of these writers have a reputation for writing stories that are very out there, trippy, esoteric and not very accessible to everyone and Hickman’s first volume of Avengers proves this. If you’re not a fan of very grand scale, dense, dry, sci-fi and cosmic stories, you will not like this book at all; in fact you will down right hate and despise it. Though even if you do like all of those things, this is a book you need to read multiple times to truly

enter the dragon Blu Ray Review: Enter The Dragon 40th Anniversary Edition

To me, Enter the Dragon is a classic for one reason, Bruce Lee. Lee changed the landscape of martial arts cinema in the 70s when he introduced a more “realistic” style of fighting, rather than the traditional “Crouching Tiger” style of kung-fu. Not to mention that many martial artists today consider Lee the pioneer of MMA (mixed martial arts). Lee’s philosophy is, to discard what is useless, and take what is useful. It doesn’t matter what style it came from. This philosophy is showcased in the first part of Enter the Dragon, when Lee uses grappling to beat down …

654 1024x686 Movie Review: Man of Steel

Going into this particular film, I was very worried about it, mostly due to its critical reception. Currently standing on 57% on Rotten Tomatoes, the critics, particularly some of the harsher ones said some very nasty things about MoS and I was genuinely worried about it. The whole DC Cinematic Universe rests on its shoulders and if with the audience and at the box office, it would probably kill any non Batman DC movie for god knows how long. Well after seeing the film and giving myself some time to think about it, I gotta say the critics were dead wrong …

Figma Fanatic: Dead Master, BRS TV Animation Version!

What? But you already did a post on Dead Master?! NOT this one my friend and wow is she cool or what!

NEW from Max Factory and for Figma fans around the world is Dead Master as she appeared in the 8 episode TV Anime of Black Rock Shooter. Dead Master is still …

xm 000 659x1024 Comic Book Review: X Men Days of Future Past TPB

X-Men Days of Future Past is one of the most renowned X-Men stories ever told. Its part of the critically acclaimed run by writer Chris Clermont and the final story drawn by John Byrne in collaboration with Clermont. For these reasons and because of the movie coming out in about a year, I decided to check this one out and see just what makes it so good and to get an idea as to how will it translate to the big screen. After reading it I hope to god they don’t do a straight up adaptation…

The first thing you should

AvengersAssemble2 TV Show Review: Avengers Assemble Premiere

We all knew this one was coming for a long time now. The new Avengers show that was given birth to once EMH was shoot in the head and left to bleed out in a dark alley. I was just as skeptical as anyone else, especially with the posters looking like amateur fan art or the promos looking like Ultimate Spider-Man. And now that the first two episodes of Avengers Assemble are out I have to say…. I kinda like it…. Now I know it has a very long way to go before it can reach the level of EMH, but
