I was browsing through the blu-ray titles at my local rental store, and saw Harry Brown. It looked interesting, it’s Alfred from Batman, but this time, he’s suppose to be like Charles Bronson from Death Wish. I watched the film, and boy was I wrong! He’s nothing like Charles Bronson, because Charles Bronson wouldn’t run out of breath while chasing the unfortunate thugs in his neighborhood. This is the premise of Harry Brown, an old man seeking revenge. It’s a more realistic approach to films like Death Wish and Man on Fire.

Weekend Movie Review Roundup: Gore and Romance Edition

Weekend Movie Review Roundup: Gore and Romance Edition

The first weekend of September is a mix of action and romance at the movie theaters.  I’m looking forward to Robert Rodriguez’s Machete but just like the previous “grindhouse” films, it flop at the box office.  Drew Barrymore and the Mac guy aka Justin Long is in a long distance relationship in Going The Distance while George Clooney is in love in a small town while trying to assasinate people.  Let’s check out the reviews and see if any of them are worth paying the full admission.

Black Rock Shooter Action Figure Review!

Black Rock Shooter Action Figure Review!

After 4 months of waiting for my pre-order to come to me, I FINALLY have the Black Rock Shooter, Figma, action figure! This figure is absolutely amazing, for being made in China the quality is top notch. The detail throughout the figure is that of a hand painted statue, which is what I compare this figure to. With too many points of articulation to list, Black Rock Shooter can be posed almost endlessly. In regard to the articulation, moving parts include the normal arms, legs and head; followed by her pony tails, bottom of her coat and even her stands are …

Bitch’in Toy: Wun-Dar!

Wundar main 1024x716 Bitchin Toy: Wun Dar!

Wun-Dar, the Wonderbread mail away figure comes to life once again for collectors who weren’t able to get it from the bread company in the early 80’s.
A lot of tales exist for the origins of this figure however, the truth is this: There are photos of proof on the internet, (I just don’t want to take someone’s picture–do a search on Google by typing in Wun-Dar). The first step was to send in a coupon from Wonderbread and in the determined time you were sent a He-Man with darker skin and hair and no outfit, he came with a few …

Full DVD Review: 5 Seasons Of “The Batman.”

The Batman1 Full DVD Review: 5 Seasons Of The Batman.

Ask me a few years ago what I thought of the–at the time–new animated series The Batman and I would have said it was terrible, or maybe to a lesser extent that it was all right. Ask me today and I’ll reply with regret and some comments on how good it really is.

The Batman has really grown on me, not only do I appreciate the cartoon itself so much more than I had when it first came on, but I also love the action figures.

The Batman is based mostly upon the blockbuster live-action movie Batman Begins. It starts …

Classic Movie Review: G.I. Joe The Movie!

In 1987 the animated Movie for G.I. Joe came out to a catchy theme song in the opening credit’s. From the beginning of the movie until the end, viewers were treated to some nice art and good animation. The cast included all the names from the TV show plus Don Johnson–star of “Miami Vice” as Lt. Falcon, Duke’s Half Brother. Also in the cast and well voiced was Burgess MeredithMickey in Rocky, Penguin in the 60’s Batman and a great actor all in all.
