MOTUC 2015: March- Exclusive Figure “Oo-Larr?”

MOTUC 2015: March- Exclusive Figure “Oo-Larr?”

JUST A WARNING: RATED M FOR MATURE, COURSE LANGUAGE–VERY…

What the hell is this? Naked He-Man? You know if you look close enough, he appears to resemble the He-Man from the original mini comics…but the name is wrong, it was He-Man who left the jungle to protect Castle Grayskull and Eternia—not to mention the two halves of the Power Sword. Why does the package say Oo-Larr?

I’ll tell you why; the terminated Scott Neitlich was still in grade school and was playing his own game sitting on the floor with his He-Man guys. Now, I don’t blame him for the shipping …

MOTUC: 2015; Feb {Part 1}-Ninjor!

MOTUC: 2015; Feb {Part 1}-Ninjor!

It’s a dream come true, a great set of figures for the month of February—enough so, that January’s Lizard Man is a thing of the past.

In this; part 1; we have Ninja Warrior…huh? Are you telling me that Mattel lost the rights to the name Ninjor? Not so powerful of a company are you?

Anyhow, I think I found a new favorite Classics figure—not the number 1, but up there with cool ones like Stinkor and Trap Jaw.

Ninjor 1 MOTUC: 2015; Feb {Part 1} Ninjor!

Ninjor is packaged as usual.

Ninjor 2 MOTUC: 2015; Feb {Part 1} Ninjor!

The back of the box has a load of bull shit in the bio section.

Ninjor 3 MOTUC: 2015; Feb {Part 1} Ninjor!

MOTUC: 2015; Feb {Part 2}-Snake Armor He-Man and King Hssss!

HeKH 1 MOTUC: 2015; Feb {Part 2} Snake Armor He Man and King Hssss!

Although I was never a fan of Masters of the Universe Versus the Snake Men, I have to admit that this 2 pack is really well thought out and it is very cool!

HeKH 2 MOTUC: 2015; Feb {Part 2} Snake Armor He Man and King Hssss!

The back of the box has bios for both, pretty cheesy, I have really given up on this made up story that strays from the cartoon. I’ll say it again, for people who grew up with He-Man and for new fans; the bios should be history of the character, not a weak story that retells everything that people know. But, the bastard who did damage the storyline has …

MOTUC: 2015; Jan-Lizard Man!

MOTUC: 2015; Jan-Lizard Man!

The claim from Mattel is that the line of Masters of the Universe Classics action figures is coming to an end this year—that can always change. So, until that happens, I and Miss M will call it “The End”.

UPDATE:  Oops! we were lied to, there is a 2016 line coming, it was just a way to get sales, so Management was canned for false advertising and breaking the law–I hope they suffer for it, it will make up for all the people they screwed; if you don’t agree–blow me!

For the month of Jan we have a long lost Filmation …

Quality Animation of 2014

Quality Animation of 2014

This year has seen the release of many amazing movies in several genres.  From Selma to Maleficent to Guardians of the Galaxy, there has  been something for everyone.  However, let`s not neglect the quality animated offerings that debuted in 2014.  They covered a variety of subjects and styles and featured amazing voice talent.  In no particular order, here is a recap of some of the year`s best animated films.

1. The Book of Life.   This is a unique film which was produced by famed director Guillermo del Toro ( Pan`s labyrinth, Pacific Rim).  There are plenty of Christmas and Halloween movies, …

Haunting Experience At Knott’s Scary Farm 2014

tv Haunting Experience At Knotts Scary Farm 2014

Knott’s Scary Farm has been around for 42 years and they raised it to a new level this year.  The past couple of years for Scary Farm has been lackluster with “monsters” talking to each other and brightly lit mazes.  Those are all gone this year and the attention to detail is superb.  My favorite experience was Special Ops: Infected.  I’ve never felt an adrenaline rush with a Halloween attraction.

Breakdown of Special Ops: Infected

I was handed a recoiled gun from 2 funny, bad ass military personnel as we make our escape from a Zombiepocalypse.  What makes this experience so …

Comic Book Review: Death of Wolverine

Comic Book Review: Death of Wolverine

520223 1024x576 Comic Book Review: Death of Wolverine

The Death of Wolverine by Charles Soule and Steve McNiven is one of the most important comics to come out in the last few years, a statement which I do not make lightly. In a medium infamous for its gimmicky, poorly thought out and (mostly) poorly written Death of *insert character name here* story-lines, Death of Wolverine is the shining exception to the previous two rules.

Will it make just as much money if not more than a standard gimmick death? Sure it will, hell it probably already has. But the story itself has so much to offer for both die-hard …

Movie Review: Batman Assault on Arkham

Movie Review: Batman Assault on Arkham

816a8978e9b14e32938e1ae4ddb69dfa 1024x576 Movie Review: Batman Assault on Arkham

Batman: Assault on Arkham has a lot to prove. Despite the excellent Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox, its follow up films Justice League War and Son of Batman left much to be desired in the eyes of many people, and in many ways hurt the reputation of the studio responsible for making them. The former received criticism for its copious amount of action, and violence while the later diverged greatly from the Grant Morrison story it was based off of “Batman & Son” with a large amount of criticism directed at the inclusion of Deathstroke who many think was put in there solely …

Transformers: Cybertron; DVD Review!

Transformers: Cybertron; DVD Review!

NEW on DVD from SHOUT! Factory and Hasbro/Takara is Transformers: Cybertron, one of the largest installments of the post 80’s Transformers.

In Transformers: Cybertron, the Autobots are trying to find keys that will stop a black hole from swallowing up their home planet; all-the-while, the Decepticons are trying to get the keys for themselves in order to rule.

Many different characters join in on this story; however, Megatron becoming Galvatron is kind of cool. Starscream fans will get all they could ever want—however, all that is missing is the scene from the 80’s movie were Galvatron turns him to dust!…

The Purge: Anarchy–Movie Review!

The Purge: Anarchy–Movie Review!

Social/political commentary can be a tricky thing to explore in movies. Done with some skill, horror can be the perfect genre to explore it. They tend to “get away” with more within the safe confines of a genre movie. The first Purge movie was a terrific premise in search of a movie. It was an instant hit, while becoming almost universally hated by audiences who felt they were victims of an elaborate bait and switch. The Purge was basically a home invasion thriller with a cool, sci-fi premise used at times, as little more than window dressing. The Purge: Anarchy blessed …
