In another amusement park news, lingerie company Ultimo took its finest models to UK amusement park, Alton Towers (think Six Flags but better scenery).
The purpose? To see how durable their bras are. Of course they could have worn shirts but Ultimo wisely decided to just let the models go in their underoos.
The result was a rising success as none of the bras broke, the two companies I’ve never heard of before got exposure and viewers like us got to see the “thrill” of the rides.
How come Victoria’s Secret doesn’t have tests like these in the U.S.?…
ABC reports that a 30-year-old Japanese nerd/man, Yoshifumi Takabe, burned down his house after his mom threw away his Gundam robot figures. He claims that he went crazy because those figures were his “lifetime partners.” He reportedly had 300 boxes full of these lifetime partners. I understand his pain, it’s not easy to paint and assemble those little figures!
The lesson here, keep your toys away from your mom!!!…
Video Game art on shoes? Why not! They have all kinds of shoes representing the jocks, it’s time for the nerds to step up, and represent the shoe industry. Although, these shoes aren’t “official” designs, we all know they should be. Nike, are you listening? The nerds want to be represented in the footwear industry!

Talk about perfect timing! John Myers wanted a family pic with the Wisconsin state capitol so he set the camera’s self timer on. He got all of that in the shot but he also captured a man stealing their belongings. It turned out Myers and his family put their bags by the building unattended so they can pose. The thief took advantage of the situation and took their bags. Myers checked his camera and noticed the thief. He turned it in to the local police department and the cops recognized the culprit. They arrested him and gave back the bags to …
Vivid just informed us that Batman XXX Parody was such a success that they’ll be releasing more XXX parodies based on tv and movie shows. The next porn parody will be shot in 3-D and it’ll be based off Star Wars. I like how they’re following the Hollywood trend of using 3-D as a selling point, don’t know if that’s a good idea with porn though. Vivid hasn’t announced the full cast yet but director, Axel Braun confirmed that Chewbacca will be in it and Lexington Steele will play Darth Vader. Braun also said that it’ll be the highest …
So today, I went to the 99¢ store to kill some time. As I was browsing the store, I passed by the book section and found this masterpiece:
I’ve read mixed reviews about this book, some say it’s too egotistical and comedy while some say it’s a good autobiography. I say ,I’ll at least be reading 5 pages of this book. Now I can only wish the store was also selling Tito Ortiz’s book.
Just when I thought my fun was over, I saw a living legend on calendar:
2010 might be over in several months but having James Braddock on …
NERDSociety was featured on CNN last Thursday but since a lot of you guys have been wondering what the experience was like, I thought I’d share it with you. As well as the items I brought for the interview:
So two Friday’s ago, I got an e-mail from CNN producer JD regarding nerd power in Hollywood. What caught his attention about NERDSociety was the poll on the homepage regarding movies. The poll was CCFMDS (my longtime friend and writer) idea from the very beginning, so thanks to him for that! I called back JD and we discussed what nerd culture was …
