Best: District 9

District 9 was a nerd’s wet dream.  For a budget of $30 million, director  Neill Blomkamp created a sci fi movie that had awesome special effects that rivaled big budget movies. Unlike most sci fi movies where it focuses more on special effects,  Blomkamp focused on a compelling story of the struggle between humans and aliens.  The best part of the movie was the last 20 minutes.  It was epic because the action scenes reminded you of your favorite FPS video …

Good Pic 1 Concert Review: Lady Gaga The Monster Ball Tour Camden, NJ

I went to see Lady Gaga last night at the Susquehanna Bank Center with my girlfriend and had a great time. We got there early and the doors didn’t open till 6:30pm so I got to check out the crowd, which was a real mix of gay men, lesbians, straight men, and even a few younger kids with their families. Gaga definitely reaches a wide audience. The place was barely organized and we were herded into the packed lobby to wait for the doors to the concert seating to open. The opening act was a glam rock band called Semi Precious …

Band: GLAY
Tour Info: The Great Vacation Tour 2009
Location: House of Blues on Sunset

GLAY came packed with an energetic audience, screaming with anticipation once the band came up on stage. Their songs are very laid-back and happy. Teru (vocals) is very comfortable with the crowd, singing in his leather clothes with his chest opened for the fangirls to drool over. “We love you! OK, let’s sing it together,” shouts Teru as he gets the crowd to pump their fist.

Beatles Rock Band..All You Need Is Love

Beatles Rock Band..All You Need Is Love

beatles rockband Beatles Rock Band..All You Need Is Love

Rockband’s latest installment, The Beatles, comes out today and the hype for this game is insane.  This is probably the most hyped game since Halo 3 came out.  Conan O’Brien was playing the game. Then Jimmy Fallon had a race using the big ass Rockband boxes.  It was pretty funny to see the winner get a big plastic container with all the musical instruments.

So I was thinking Rock Band must be in cohoots with NBC because it’s promoting the game like crazy.  I was wrong.  I turned to channel 7 for local news and they also mentioned the game.  Then …
