Gwyneth Paltrow Sings Country At The CMA

Gwyneth Paltrow Sings Country At The CMA

Paltrow sings Country Strong at the CMA.

I remember her from Hook as the young Wendy, then she was on Se7en as Brad Pitt’s girlfriend/wife. Her biggest blockbuster as of late is Iron-man, as she plays Pepper Potts. She is a good actor, but can she transition well into Country music?…

Katy Perry Wallpaper Katy Perry Sesame Street Appearance Removed

Sesame Street released short clips to promote its new season and one of them featured the sexy Katy Perry singing a revised version of  “Hot And Cold” with Elmo.  When the video was released, parents (I’d assume mostly moms) were outrage by Perry’s cleavage.  There’s a couple of scenes of her running around that probably shouldn’t be watched by toddlers.  With the feedback the video is getting, Sesame Street has decided to remove the segment.  The video will still be up on Katy Perry’s official site.

Caught up in a Red Bacteria Vacuum: Exclusive interview!

DSC01602 crop 1024x491 Caught up in a Red Bacteria Vacuum: Exclusive interview!

One of the events that I was really looking forward to seeing at Anime Vegas was the Red Bacteria Vacuum concert. RBV is an all-girl group from Japan who’s been together for around 15 years. When I first went backstage, I found these three slender, exuberant ladies wearing shimmering oversized shirts and Lone Ranger masks over their eyes. They were mugging for another photographer so I had to jump in and snap a few for myself.

They were really excited, a little nervous, but excited more than anything else, and then they started jumping around doing stretching and breathing exercises.  They …

Music Review: Jersey Shore Soundtrack CD (MTV)

Jersey Shore Music Review: Jersey Shore Soundtrack CD (MTV)

The soundtrack to Jersey Shore is a bit of a mixed bag, but more often than not, it totally succeeds as a party CD, and that’s all it wants to be. Based on the popular MTV reality series, the Jersey Shore soundtrack is a continuous mix of 16 dance tracks featuring some extremely popular hip-hop/electronica artists. It’s the lesser-known (at least in the US) electronic stars who really shine.

Enrique Iglesias gets the party started with his cheese-whiz lead single “I LIke It”. Pitbull struggles to add edge to Enrique’s bland vocals, but the beat is sick and the song grows …

The End of The Love Parade: At least 19 Killed at the Berlin Techno Music Festival

The End of The Love Parade: At least 19 Killed at the Berlin Techno Music Festival

Tragedy struck the biggest event in dance music. At least 19 people were killed and more than 350 people were injured in a stampede in a tunnel at the Love Parade in Germany. Details are sketchy but it appears a massive crowd overwhelmed the organizers and a panic ensued. No one is quite sure why the stampede took place but people are already questioning why there was only one entrance for the crowd. I’m a massive dance music fan and I think it’s really a sad situation that could have been prevented with proper planning and execution. The organizer of the …

Top 40 Radio Report: Summer Jams 2010 (Part 1)

Taio Cruz Top 40 Radio Report: Summer Jams 2010 (Part 1)

I’m back again friends with more summer jams and duds for everyone to add or delete to their ipods. I’ve included the songs or music videos (if available) to each song I review. We gonna rock this club, we gonna go all night, we gonna light it up like it’s dynamite.

Here comes the jams:

Taio Cruz “Dynamite”

This is one of the best summer songs around. Light and dancable, UK star Taio Cruz comes back with an even better song than his debut US single, the infectious “Break Your Heart”. The chorus will have you singing along and the song …

A Look Back At Eureka SeVen

A Look Back At Eureka SeVen

E7 boxes 1024x734 A Look Back At Eureka SeVen

The Anime Eureka SeVen has had mixed reviews in the past, some people say it’s too long at 50 episodes and others love it. I’d say that I’m in the middle and find it great on a lot of levels such as the story in itself and negative by how annoying the main characters get on their slow road to finding themselves.

The DVD’s took about 2 years to collect. Having to wait every other month for the next disk to come out was like waiting for paint to dry. Most of the disks came out in a special edition which …

Dance Central E3 2010 Harmonix E3 2010: Kinects Dance Central May be the Next Wii Fit

The guys over at Harmonix unleashed a monster when Rock Band came out. Now they have Dance Central in the works for Microsoft’s Kinect. What the Wii Fit did for casual gamers in 2008, Dance Central might do for that market this year in November 2010.

This game can track your whole body movement and correct you while you’re dancing. You perform Simon Says-type moves that are shown on the screen using icons. The coolest thing about the Kinect is that you’re not stuck performing in one spot, like on a Wii Fit Balance Board, and Dance Central can actually teach …

Hans Zimmer Composer Hans Zimmer Goes iTunes

Hans Zimmer, the man behind epic scores in movies such as The Last Samurai, The Rock and Gladiator, has released his latest work on iTunes: Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.  Zimmer composed the score for one of the biggest games of all time.  His involvement in the project really shows how far video games have gotten as Activision hired one of the most respected composers in Hollywood.  The entire soundtrack can be purchased for $9.99 or $.99 per track.  I suggest getting the whole soundtrack since there are 17 tracks total.
