It looks like it. There are conflicting reports out there as to whether Sheen has already signed or is still in negotiation. Director Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) is still casting the movie and according to Deadline Hollywood, Sally Field may even show up as Aunt May.  So far, IMDB has the following cast list posted:

Trailer: Frederick Wiseman’s Boxing Gym

boxing gym Trailer: Frederick Wisemans Boxing Gym

Boxing Gym is a documentary about …. a boxing gym. As an MMA enthusiast, these kinds of films interest me. I like seeing how fighters are made, they are sculpted by their trainers before we see them in a ring or a cage. It’s always good to see the hard work that fighters go through before their fights. As the old saying goes, “Train hard Fight easy!” However, Boxing Gym doesn’t seem to focus only on “fighters,” but regular folks with different goals in joining the gym.

This trainer charges $50/mo. to train anytime, that’s a deal!

Trailer: Rabbit Hole

Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart in Rabbit Hole Trailer: Rabbit Hole

(Via Slashfilm) This film is getting a lot of great reviews from critics like Scott Weinberg.

“Quite simply, [Rabbit Hole is] one of the best films I’ve ever seen at a festival. I’ve always contended that there’s no such thing as a “flawless” film, but now I’m going to amend that phrase to read “There’s no such thing as a perfect film.” Because ‘Rabbit Hole’ is, as far as I can tell, pretty much flawless.”

Rabbit Hole looks like a strong family drama that deals with the realistic notion of loss. I’ll be looking forward to this one.…

NElNounlk9xhoo 1 2 Blu Ray Review: A Prophet (Un Prophete) 2009

Director Jacques Audiard has created an incredible mafia masterpeice.  A Prophet (not to be confused with Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet) follows nineteen-year-old Arab Malik El Djebena’s rise within the ranks of a French prison where he is originally sentenced for six years.  El Djebena quickly falls in with the Corsican mafia at the prison and using his wit and incredible survival instincts, not only survives there but thrives.  His mentor/tormentor, mafia kingpin Cesar Luciani is El Djebena’s grudging father-figure in prison, under whose inadvertent tutelage he learns how to get ahead in this vicious and ruthless world of cash, hash and …

Dragons, Samurais and Hot Babes

Here’s the second trailer for Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch.  The “real world” scenes looks boring as hell, just like Watchmen.  I know it’s suppose to be dull but knowing Snyder, it won’t have any emotional pull.  The “fantasy world” looks really crazy and fun.

Sucker Punch comes out March 25th, 2011…

Legend Of The Black Scorpion is a Chinese period piece based on Shakespeare’s tragic stage play, Hamlet. The problem is that Little Wan is married to Luan’s dad, the emperor. If the situation wasn’t already messed up, the emperor gets killed by his brother and tries to marry Little Wan. Luan plots his revenge against his uncle, while Little Wan also has her own agenda to take over the imperial …

Director Tony Scott Back For Top Gun 2

Director Tony Scott Back For Top Gun 2

tonyscottbanner Director Tony Scott Back For Top Gun 2

The director of Top Gun, Tony Scott, has agreed to helm the sequel.  I might be wrong on this but I think this is the first time Scott is doing a sequel.  His previous projects such as Spy Game, Crimson Tide and Deja Vu have all been stand alone flicks.  Scott will team up again with producer Jerry Bruckheimer (The Rock, Prince Of Persia) and Tom Cruise.  Cruise will have a small role in the sequel, he’ll be more of a mentor than the ace pilot.  No word yet who’ll play lead.

No release date has been announced by Paramount.…
