It goes without saying that Wolverines first solo film was kind of a disaster in the eyes of many people. It created a gargantuan amount of continuity problems, it butchered the already well done Weapon X story in X2, got rid of Deadpools mouth and was generally a bad film with  few redeeming qualities so people are understandably apprehensive about this new solo outing, especially after its very long and troubled production.But like another troubled film that came out earlier this year and pleasantly surprised me, The Wolverine is a fantastic Wolverine film and its the second best X-Men film …

Very cool.…

Repeating the same joke from the first movie isn’t funny.  Repeating it twice in 10 seconds just makes it lame.

This movie looks terrible…oh look Hit Girl is cussing, that’s suppose to be bad ass.

What the heck happened? I know the original director, Vaughn, isn’t directing this one but he was actually going to do it.  Instead he’s producing and now the sequel looks like crap.…

WB and Legendary Pictures has released an exclusive Mondo poster for Godzilla.

WB is hoping this will be a bigger hit than Pacific Rim.  Godzilla is written by Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption) and will be released May 16, 2014…

Just in time for the home video release, Universal Studios has announced they’ll have an Evil Dead maze for Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood and Orlando.

Universal has set the standard on Halloween mazes and I’m sure this one will be great.

To me, Enter the Dragon is a classic for one reason, Bruce Lee. Lee changed the landscape of martial arts cinema in the 70s when he introduced a more “realistic” style of fighting, rather than the traditional “Crouching Tiger” style of kung-fu. Not to mention that many martial artists today consider Lee the pioneer of MMA (mixed martial arts). Lee’s philosophy is, to discard what is useless, and take what is useful. Going into this particular film, I was very worried about it, mostly due to its critical reception. Currently standing on 57% on Rotten Tomatoes, the critics, particularly some of the harsher ones said some very nasty things about MoS and I was genuinely worried about it. The whole DC Cinematic Universe rests on its shoulders and if with the audience and at the box office, it would probably kill any non Batman DC movie for god knows how long. Disney releases another live action re-imagining, this time it’s the origins of “Oz.”

The movie is better than Disney’s Alice In Wonderland but similar problems arise.

First, the acting.  James Franco plays the role of Oz as he’s magically transported to the fairy tale world of uhm…Oz.  Franco tries his best to be purposefully hammy but just comes out as bad acting.  The rest of the cast is a bit better but when the lead actor is terrible, the movie is off to a bad start.
