The big news of the day is the confirmation of the two baddies for Chris Nolan’s third (and final) Batman movie. Rising star and scene-stealer Tom Hardy of Inception fame will be taking on the character of Bane. A complex, dangerous character in the comics (who broke Brue Wayne’s back during the classic Knightfall story arc) will hopefully get the class treatment he deserves after an embarassing turn as a mute freak in the campy and awful Batman and Robin. The time has come when podcasts become tv shows!

This is what happened to the most downloaded podcast in history, The Ricky Gervais Show.  The podcast has three Brits talk about their daily lives: comedian Ricky Gervais (Office creator), Stephen Merchant and the weird but likeable, Karl Pilkington.  The 30 minute show talks about various subjects from Pilkington hating charities to the vicous dolphins.  The discussions are pretty pointless but that’s what makes it funny.  These guys could debate about a subject that no one really cares about for the whole show.  Pilkington is the glue of this show.  He’s the …

As reported in Nerdsociety back in August, Rooney Mara had beat out a slew of big name actresses for the role of Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher’s (Fight Club, Social Network) American adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Mara’s fresh look had many wondering if she would be able to pull it off.
