I don’t know who this guy is either.  But apparently, Henry Cavill has always been a finalist for big roles including Twilight, Harry Potter and James Bond.  He can currently be seen in Showtime’s tv show, Tudors.

Now director Zack Snyder is giving him the big break he needs for the new Superman reboot.  The movie is coming out in December 2012.  Here’s the press release from WB

Based on a true story. A surfer girl gets bit by a shark, and lives to compete and inspire others.

At first, I thought this would be a documentary. Sadly, it’s not. It looks like a campy movie, hollywood style.…

This looks like a short flick coming out on February 19, 2011.  Trailer is in the same cheesy style as Machete, the only difference is Bryant’s movie is unitentionally cheesy.  It doesn’t make sense because Kobe is playing basketball against monsters that could kill him instantly.

Nike is producing the movie and expect them to produce more sports oriented short movie if this one is a hit.  Bring on Manny Pacquiao knocking out bandwagon fans!…

So today, the Oscar nominations were announced and one name I was sure would make the list would be Christopher Nolan for Best Director.  Oscar doesn’t give nominations to newcomers but after Dark Knight and Memento, I thought he’d finally get a nomination.  Instead here are the directors that are up for the running:

WB has confirmed the live-action digital series of Mortal Kombat.  You won’t get the series for free on youtube as most fans thought it would be.  Instead it will be available to online digital retailers like Amazon.com and iTunes for a small fee.
