I don’t know who this guy is either. But apparently, Henry Cavill has always been a finalist for big roles including Twilight, Harry Potter and James Bond. He can currently be seen in Showtime’s tv show, Tudors.
Now director Zack Snyder is giving him the big break he needs for the new Superman reboot. The movie is coming out in December 2012. Here’s the press release from WB
“Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced today that Henry Cavill has won the coveted role of Superman, the iconic superhero.
The film will be directed by Zack Snyder, who stated, …
As previously reported on Nerdsociety, Green Hornet director Michel (pronounced like Michelle) Gondry expressed some negative feelings about nerds. Go here to read Cricket’s article: Green Hornet Director “Nerds are Fascistic”
In an interview with Screen Rant from January 19, Gondry attempts to backtrack on those statements. Well, more like denies saying it. But his true feelings still come through anyway…
“SR: In terms of the expectations on how this film should be done, you were quoted as calling the fan base “fascistic.” What has your experience with the fans been?
MG: I think that the imagery of the superhero …
Based on a true story. A surfer girl gets bit by a shark, and lives to compete and inspire others.
At first, I thought this would be a documentary. Sadly, it’s not. It looks like a campy movie, hollywood style.…
This looks like a short flick coming out on February 19, 2011. Trailer is in the same cheesy style as Machete, the only difference is Bryant’s movie is unitentionally cheesy. It doesn’t make sense because Kobe is playing basketball against monsters that could kill him instantly.
Nike is producing the movie and expect them to produce more sports oriented short movie if this one is a hit. Bring on Manny Pacquiao knocking out bandwagon fans!…
So today, the Oscar nominations were announced and one name I was sure would make the list would be Christopher Nolan for Best Director. Oscar doesn’t give nominations to newcomers but after Dark Knight and Memento, I thought he’d finally get a nomination. Instead here are the directors that are up for the running:
Darren Aronofsky for Black Swan (2010)
Ethan Coen, Joel Coen for True Grit (2010)
David Fincher for The Social Network (2010)
Tom Hooper for The King’s Speech (2010)
David O. Russell for The Fighter (2010)
Out of the 5 directors, I’d have taken out Russell. The Fighter
…WB has confirmed the live-action digital series of Mortal Kombat. You won’t get the series for free on youtube as most fans thought it would be. Instead it will be available to online digital retailers like Amazon.com and iTunes for a small fee.

Directed by Kevin Tancharoen, known for his popular unofficial fan short Mortal Kombat: Rebirth which garnered over 10 million views online, and in conjunction with the upcoming Mortal Kombat videogame, this action-packed, …
July, 2012 is going to be an epic year for comic and movie nerds with Dark Knight Rises (July 20, 2012) and Spider-Man (July 3, 2012) reboot coming out within 3 weeks of each other. This will be a crazy battle: Marvel vs. DC, Sony vs WB, who will be the blockbuster king? I know I’ll watch both but which movie is going to be better? Let’s look at the important factors:
Director:
This is the most important factor. Directors can make or break a movie. Christopher Nolan is on his third gig as the director for Batman with Dark Knight …
Ghostface is back!
Looks like a fun movie. However, I can’t help but think of the parody, Scary Movie, everytime I see the infamous mask.…
Here’s what Judge Dredd will look like on the upcoming film with Karl Urban.
It doesn’t look as futuristic as the costume from Sylvester Stallone’s film. But, maybe this is a flashback scene?…
