Mortal Kommmmbbbaaaattt! 

That intro along with the techno soundtrack gave me goosebumps.  I think I was around 16 when the movie came out and since I worked at a movie theatre, I watched it several times.  The fight scenes never got old.

But that was back then, what about now?  I must admit, the movie is a bit outdated.  The fight scenes aren’t as cool and the techno is a bit cheesy.  But the nostalgia is still there so I enjoyed it.

It was just announced today that the villain in Zack Snyder’s Superman movie will be Zod and he will be played by none other than Boardwalk Empire’s twisted policeman Michael Shannon.  Here is the official announcement compliments of Deadline New York:

Who was it that originated the fake documentary?  Was it the guys from Spinal Tap?  Since then there’s been others like  The Blair Witch Project and The Fourth Kind. Source Code is an intelligent and exciting action thriller. The movie does not shy away from its clever, intriguing science fiction premise, and truly embraces its nifty, nutty concept and runs it all the way to its logical conclusion. The cast is perfectly chosen from Jake Gyllenhaal as the soldier hero to Michelle Monaghan as a plucky, potential love interest. The supporting cast is also very good. Source Code picks up the pace and never looks back with a lot of tense, suspenseful moments and some kick-ass action scenes.

Okay, well, not Spock but Leonard Nimoy.  The Star Trek alum will be taking another turn as a Transformer in the next installment.  He will be lending his voice to Sentinel Prime, a precursor to Optimus.  This won’t be the first time Nimoy has contributed his voice to the Transformer franchise.  In 1986 he was Galavatron in Transformers: The Movie.
