Expendables 2 Movie Review: The Expendables 2

The Expendables 2 gets the job done. A big, loud, and dumb action film that should please anyone who grew up in the 1980s, it’s also less self-serious and funnier than the first movie. The Expendables 2 also benefits from the swift pacing and upgraded action sequences provided by new director Simon West. The movie won’t win any awards, but it’s a violent good time with a cast of monotone right-wing macho men. The Expendables 2 starts with a …

Later that night, she and her friend go to a club and find themselves caught in the crossfire between the DEA and the drug cartel. From that moment on, every way she turns, Laura can’t seem to escape the violence.

This gives off an impression as though that’s the way of life there. Laura can’t go to the cops because they’re crooked. There is …

Trailer: Grittier Daredevil

Trailer: Grittier Daredevil

Director Joe Carnahan (The Grey), has been pushing for a Daredevil project based on Frank Miller’s vision of the story. It was to be a raw and dirtier look at Hell’s Kitchen in the 70s. But, Fox does not want the rights to Daredevil anymore and gave it back to Marvel. Marvel is less likely to produce a grittier version of anything because the campy Avengers made waves at the Box Office. Too bad.

So, we are left with the Carnahan inspired fan-made trailer below.…

ant man movie logo 1024x690 Marvel Scared of Dark Themes?

With the recent news that Scott Lang would be the Ant-Man in the upcoming Edgar Wright film in 2014 and Hank Pym passing the mantle to Lang, I got to thinking is this just Marvels way of keeping the darker themes out of their movies?

The MCU is known to be accessible to everyone and this has given them hundreds of millions of dollars from their movies and toys based on the movies etc. But news of Hank Pym just being the guy passing down the mantle of Ant-Man to Scott Lang and just being a secondary character, along with Demon …
