With an estimated $87 million opening weekend, Wolverine was able to dish it out despite the unfinished leaked version hitting the net with mostly negative publicity. After the X-Men movies, Wolverine gets his own movie prequel about his origin that we’ve seen many time in X-Men 1 and 2. That means all four X-Men movies have Wolverine as the prominent role with Cyclops being pushed to the side as a lackey, along with many other X-Men. We all love the lil’ canuck, I get it.

I find it kind of weird how Michael Bay is hyping up Transformers 2 by showing up to the Transformers trailer premiere for Revenge of the Fallen. It was a big event with Transformers cosplayers, contest giveaways, and ET and ABC on location. All this for being the first to see the newest trailer a day early.

I’m still not too excited about the movie.  The last part of the trailer was pretty kick ass but overall, it reminds me too much of Bay’s other movies including Armageddon and Pearl Harbor.

Not Easily Broken, based on the novel by T.D. Jakes, is cliched but well worth checking out. Tyler Perry fans will also enjoy the film (Perry is even quoted on the DVD cover). The plot is standard and the timeworn gimmick never stop coming, but the film itself has a simple and stirring message of overcoming hardship. The acting from Morris Chestnut and especially the wonderful Taraji P. Henson elevate the material into an above-average film. The nerds over at crunchgear.com has got a look at some new Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen toys. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are transformed into Robo-Q toys. Robo-Q, made by Takara Tomy, are the smallest, lightweight, 2-legged toys available. They can even navigate through a maze using infrared sensors.The crappy thing about them is that you have to charge them for 30 minutes just to have them move for 5 minutes.

These little dudes will only be available in Japan in May. Yeah, sucks to be over here in the states, that’s why I’ll be playing with my Generation …

Hugh Jackman is sad that Wolverine was leaked online. He has been working hard on promoting the movie by touring around the world. In the beginning of the tour, he flew from a helicopter to surprise fans and introduced to them 20 minutes of clips from the movie.

“It’s a serious crime, and there’s no doubt it’s very disappointing. I was heartbroken by it,” said Hugh Jackman to the Australian media. “”Obviously people are seeing an unfinished film. It’s like a Ferrari without a paint job.”
