Robin Hood Trailer with Russell Crowe

robin hood crowe Robin Hood Trailer with Russell Crowe

Robin Hood is the fifth collaboration between Russell Crowe and my favorite director, Ridley Scott.  I really don’t know what to make of this movie.  The cinematography looks good but the action scenes looks too similar to Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven.  I’m not going to lie though, I’m still going to watch it the first day it comes out.  I’m a slave to Ridley.…

The Road: From Print to Film

The Road: From Print to Film

I’m gonna preface this by saying that I’m in no way, shape or form, a true reviewer of any kind.  I love the movies, I love books, and I like to talk about what I love about them.  That’s pretty much it.  I’m not going to deconstruct ‘The Road,’ in either form, and I’m not going to lay out the entire plot for you.  All I want to do is get across a few points, and why I think people should see the movie and read the book.  I’ll save the name-calling and bashing for something that deserves it.  Instead, today, …

Movie Review: The Hangover

The Hangover Movie Review: The Hangover

The Hangover is a sloppy, unfunny mess from start to finish. The laughs are few and far between and this must be the most overrated comedy I’ve seen all year. A massive hit that struck a chord with moviegoers, its appeal escapes me. Some unlikable guys go to Vegas for a bachleor party and everything goes wrong. The groom goes missing and his trio of morons attempt to find him while piecing together what happened the night before. The end credit scene is the only really worthwhile scene in the flick, aside from Mike Tyson’s amusing cameo where he comes out …

DVD Review: Terminator Salvation

Terminator DVD Review: Terminator Salvation

Terminator: Salvation is an unwelcome return to the Terminator franchise that got more press for Christian Bale’s nutty on set rant than it did for anything in the movie itself. It’s easy to see why. Terminator is a mediocre action movie with some nice backdrops and a sturdy performance from actor Sam Worthington as a machine who attempts to regain his humanity. He has no idea that he’s not human and his character Marcus wants redemption for his past misdeeds.

Salvation takes place in the aftermath of Judgement Day and the takeover of the machines. The leader of the resistance is …

New Bromance Comedy: Iron Man 2 Poster

The sequel to I Love You, Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. plays Tony Stark, who is looking for a suitable pal to don War Machine. Will he find the guy in time to save the world? All I know is that Terrence Howard won’t be that guy, lol.

john spartan and david hayter Interview: David Hayter Geeks Out with NERDSociety

David Hayter, a living legend in the gaming and comic movie world. Instead of sweeping girls off their feet, he sweeps nerds off of theirs. From stopping Metal Gears to helping bring the Watchmen and X-Men films to life, David’s got quite a resume under his belt. I had a chance to chat with the man behind the legend about Metal Gear, Watchmen, X-Men, Guyver, internet imposters (or clones, see what I did there?), future projects, and hurting Quinton Flynn’s feelings.

Before you read the interview, here’s a personal message from the man, himself!

The Disney studio opened its doors to the public for the Princess And The Frog special engagement.  As I got there, I was greeted with a big poster of the movie and a sign where to park.  Parked on the second level and the employee told us to follow the frog prints to get to the theatre.  We went into a big soundstage where Disney movie props were displayed.  The highlight for me was the black and white life size Centaur from Chronicles Of Narnia.  It actually looked better as a statue than  in the movies.  In the center of the …

KOF Movie with Ray Park King of Fighters Movie Trailer with Darth Maul

Wow! This reminded me of how embarrassed I was when I watched Mortal Kombat Annihilation. It was in that moment that had I lost faith in all mankind.

While I’m not a huge fan of King of Fighters, I can certainly tell that fans of the games will be pissed off. The whole trailer just reeks of cockroach-infested dog poo. The narrator feels like he belongs in those cheesy romcoms. Maggie Q is completely wrong for Mai Shiranui just as Kristin Kreuk is for Chun-Li. And now they have Sean Faris playing a japanese fighter named Kyo Kusanagi. To quote a …

Wishes do come true for me. I love 2d animation, and my dream of Disney returning to their 2d animated roots has come in the shape of The Princess and the Frog, a mish-mash of your favorite Disney flicks starring, for the first time, an African-American woman. It isn’t a Disney movie without a meaningful message. Wishing upon a star is always good, but you have to work hard on it while also appreciating the things you have now.

Loosely based on E.D. Baker’s version of the The Frog Princess, The Princess and The Frog is a tale about a young …
