For those that don’t know, John Carter of Mars is based on the Barsoom series by Edgar Rice Burrough. The lead character, John Carter, is a civil war veteran who finds himself on an adventure in Mars battling strange inhabitants.
Taylor Kitsch plays John Carter. I liked him as Gambit (Wolverine) and am thrilled to see him as the main character. Willem Dafoe also joins the cast as Tars Tarkas, a four-armed green warrior. Another Wolverine alumni, Lynn Collins, joins as Dejah Thoris, a scantily-clad martian princess.

Did you know horror icons Freddy, Jason, and Leatherface had teamed up with Nike to create some pretty damn unique shoes?
Except for a few pairs, these shoes never made it to the market because of legal issues. Let’s take a look at the crazy designs more closely….
Freddy Version:
Design is very subtle and you won’t really notice the blood splatter until you look at it closely. Freddy’s skin inside the shoe is a nice touch. This is my favorite of the line because it’s not too loud. Only hardcore fans will get the design.

From the LA Times, Bay chats about the Transformers movie sound around award season. In the end, he talks about the third movie and how it’s going to focus more on the actual robots.
“There will be a nice crescendo ending,” Bay said. “It gets much more into the robot character. The last time you kind of met a few of the robots; this time you’re gonna get a much cooler landscape.”
If this means more character development for the Ghetto Twinz, I’m on board!…
On the one hand, this looks really bad, with the acting and cheesy story. On the other hand, it portrays the game pretty closely compared to other fighting video game movies by having characters that look like their counterparts where they fight in actual tournaments and a story that follows the main fighter in the game, unlike The Legend of Chun Li and the upcoming King of Fighters movie.
More reasons to check out this movie? Well for one thing, Nina is looking hot in her outfit and Shang Tsung is Heihachi! I’d still have to say the first Mortal Kombat …
