Tekken Movie: New Images Galore

Tekken Movie: New Images Galore

Check out these new images for Tekken the movie, adapted from the popular fighting game series by Namco. It may look cheesy, and it may look dumb, but just seeing the actors actually somewhat resemble the characters in the game makes me all giddy inside. Ok, so Jin looks half white, but damn, Nina is looking like a hot porn star. And let’s not forget about Shang Tsung as Heihachi. Thanks to comingsoon.net for these images.

Spider-Man Reboot: The Whole Story

Spider-Man Reboot: The Whole Story

In recent week news has surfaced that both Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire will not be involved with the new Spider-man movie.  Disagreements between Raimi and Sony Pictures in the early production resulted in Raimi withdrawing from the project and the studio deciding to move forward without him.  This is not the first time the two butted heads, in the production of the last film, there were similar disputes.  Sony pushed for the character Venom to be apart of the 3rd film, Raimi expressed no interest in the character but gave into the studios demands.  The result lead to a backlash …

Law Abiding Citizen DVD Review: Law Abiding Citizen

Law Abiding Citizen is a wild mash up of SAW and Death Wish, though not as good as either one. Starring Gerald Butler (of 300 and many lame romantic comedies) and Jamie Foxx (who sleep-walks through his role), the movie starts out entertaining enough but starts to lose it and by the end goes off the tracks completely.

Butler plays a family man named Clyde Shelton whose wife and young daughter are brutally raped and murdered before his eyes. An up-and coming district attorney named Nick (Jamie Foxx) cuts a deal with the defense which sends one of the suspects to …

Planet HULK DVD Review: Planet HULK 2 Disc Special Edition

Planet HULK may be based on an acclaimed comic book run, but something was clearly lost in translation. Flatly animated, the storyline plays like a one-note Gladiator. HULK is a tough character to base an entire animated movie around unless the supporting characters are memorable and the storyline compelling and Planet HULK just doesn’t get the job done. It’s nowhere near as good as the Ultimate Avengers movies and closer to their boring animated Iron Man movie (which was a true disaster, complete with new-age mysticism hooey and a boring Tony Stark arc).

Planet HULK (what a goofy title) starts with …

Top 5 Awesomely Fan-made Trailers

Top 5 Awesomely Fan-made Trailers

You take boredom, add fandom, mix it all with a little cinema magic and what do you get?  Some pretty F@#$n awesome fan-made trailers!

While some of them are just re-hashes of other movies masked by Adobe After Effects, there are also those that go the extra mile to see there favorite Super Heroes come to life.

Here are my top 5 fan-made trailers:

5.)  Thundercats

Thundercats is one of my all time favorite cartoon shows growing up.  I even had the sword, which my grandmother sadly gave away to Goodwill. Very well done After Effects, and what an awesome cast, …

toy story 3 andy putting toys away New Toy Story 3 Trailer Features Michael Keaton as Ken

Here’s the latest Toy Story 3 trailer showing off Ken (Michael Keaton), Totoro and a purple teddy bear. Pixar has a great track record and I’m excited for this one.

The story: The toys have been accidentally donated to a child’s care center, but later on, Woody finds out that Andy still wants him back, so they go on a wild adventure to return home.

Akira Poster Akira To Become A Real Boy, A Live Action One That Is

The guys over at New York’s Vulture gives us the news that the Hughes brothers and Warner Bros. (that’s a lot of bromance) will be teaming up to create a live-action version of the anime classic, Akira. Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (Iron Man writers) are also attached to the project with Leonardo’s company, Appian Way, producing. Warner Bros. also wants to plan Akira as two flicks.

Can’t say I’m excited about the news, since I thought the Hughes brothers’ other movie, From Hell, was quite a bore.

The question is, will the main cast be predominantly non-Asian? From what we …

I really hope this movie is good and M. Night Shyamalan makes a triumphant return. Although his recent movies haven’t been liked by many, I still loved Unbreakable and enjoyed watching The Sixth Sense.

I’ve seen a couple of episodes of Avatar and this trailer seems to capture the feel of it. Especially the scene where Sokka and Katara discovers the ice bubble that houses a dormant Aang.

Super Bowl Movie Ads

Super Bowl Movie Ads

last airbender movie Super Bowl Movie Ads

From what I remember, there was only a total of 4 movie ads.  Here they are from best to worst:

1) The Last Airbender
This movie shows a lot of promise.  Even though it uses plenty of CG, the fight scenes look good and the world M. Night Shyamalan envisioned looks awesome.  It’s based on a cartoon show.

2) The Wolfman
Although I’ve read bad reviews for this movie, the ad creates an atmosphere that’s dark and violent.  Yay for gruesome killings!

3)  Robin Hood
This ad is definitely better than the teaser trailer.  It actually looks exciting and kick ass…
